Entry 1, about a week after I joined ICMG
Wow, yesterday's near death experience and the commotion caused by us chasing a Gallic spy ship. It gave me the utter realization to keep a diary.
Anyways, today I work up in New Berlin and traveled back to our operations area. As I entered Orkney and caught up with my friends, a Zoner battleship appeared. We knew right away it was odd, mainly because it has a strange ID as well.
At first, I thought nothing of it, since I, as a Zoner at heart just let my guard down. Then we noticed it was attacked by Counsel bots, this surprised us. But he chased them off we asked to be taken around to the local jumpholes. So my Boss in the Loellingite took him out while I returned to Java to get in my Spatial, since I was in my Big Dragon.
After I jumped in my fighter and few out to return. Roger was yelling at the Zoner battles ship because it opened fired! I could hardly believe it. After a moment of listening I returned to Doubly Station and found that the Loellingite and his wingman where having a standoff with the Zoner battleship.
The pilot began ranting about how the queen was going to kill us all Siriusian, and whatnot. And we all were confused, very confused. Eventually our boss called out help from all out sources to subdue that battle ship. It took off after a few bombers arrived to help. The order came out to final peruse as more carriers where arriving as well.
After a bit of flying around, I found the Zoner back at the far side of Orkney, but soon lost him again. I few away from Reunion station to keep looking, but soon found out the Zoner fled into Gallia.
I double-backed toward Dounby Station and caught up with another IMG carrier. Then we proceeded to the jumphole leading into Gallia. The Loellingite was there ready to enter the jumphole. As a few bombers had already flown in to peruse. I followed our group into the jumphole.
As we exited, I found myself in an eerie reddish system. At first I was excited to be able to visit a new place. Especially since I have visited all the other houses already. But soon... that died as reports of Gallic Navy battleships appeared. Our forward party was attack and we pulled back to the Jumphole to look at the situation.
From there on I was practically terrified, especially since I have no professional combat experience. We sat there seeing if the battleships would come to us, and even a Mercenary who seemed to be hunting IMG ships appeared behind us, although he just had more than bite.
Eventually, we decided to retreat back into Orkney. I happily did so since I had no desire to fight at all. Everyone kind of disbanded after that and I returned to Java.
So, crazy day today AND a promotion! Sweet, even if I was freeking out. Hopefully things will be better tomorrow, maybe do a bit of mining... Definitely Ill get something to eat and drink! And feed my monkeys.
Away from the Gallia incident, I'm starting to not like my Big Dragon... it doesn't feel as safe and intimidating as my Spatial does. I either want somthing with Protection with the cost of something, Or nothing at all and join a big convoy.
So, a Democritus or a Kujira? I'll have to think about it... and make more money.
And ICMG is thinking about a relationship with the Coalition? I personally would say no, although many people seem to like it or not like it. I'd rather have as few enemies as we can, or at least... not as serious enemies... I don't care if we're at war with the outcast. They are often funny, even if they do have illegal activities.
Entry 2, a day later.
Today? Nothing of great importance. It was really, really boring as most of the ICMG crew worked on other hours then me. So I kinda was left with nothing. So today I just hung out on Java, hanging out at the local caf? Just boring.
Entry 3, one and a half days later.
What the hell?! I can't believe Ruby ran off like that! Rango died because of him! Damn those Cartel and Golden Chrysanthemums!
Now I spent the rest of the day in the infirmary and woke up in the middle of the night. Then I took my time repairing my ship as well Looks like Rob, Carth, Zack, and Ina all got tractored by the stupid pirates So now I'm crew-less, have still some repairs on minor systems like my radar and communicator I hope my crew was dropped off someplace safe I never liked them complaining about my way of doing things but I would never wish them pain or death.
So, next time I see a Gaian, I'm gonna ask if they could buy me a new pet. Maybe something calmer than a monkey so it won't get in my way while flying.
Also! I've decided I'm not gonna be a solider of ICMG, if a battle starts; I'll just pull away from the combat zone to watch. So, I guess I'll just request permission to buy a Democritus tomorrow. Provide protection, cargo, and as a mini base too when we're docked someplace. I like the idea. I'm purely gonna be a miner and hauler. So basically I won't be an escort with my Spatial, I'll just be a supporting ship or hauler on my Big Dragon.
So near death experience Number two. Fantastic, fabulous.
Well my Spatial is sixty percent functional right now. Sometimes the life supports quits out. And I have to quickly restart it. My mining scanners is off-line too. So it'll be awhile before I can do very much. I'll start right away on the scanners first I guess.
Another day… more adventures. Today something scarier then pirates! Aliens, “squidies”? Whatever! It's the things that talk to your mind and take over people! So. Darn. Freaky! No kidding, voices everywhere, my co-worker getting bad memories! It's… all just too creepy…
Now thinking about it… it seems all surreal now. I've heard one before… but… never, ever, like that. Too close.
Well… some IMG pilots tried attacking them, most where carried away by them, but I was able to save one. Gary is his name and he's all shaken up, must be terrible to lose your entire wing to them. I never hope it happens to me.
And today, ion storms hit as we were mining! Lots of them! It hurt me and Mack a lot, eventually damaging our mining equipment. Guess what that means! More repairs! And I fixed it a lot more since the pirate attack!
Speaking of ion storms, one hit a little after I first undocked from Java. Two outcasts where fighting two Colonials and one of my co-workers. I stayed away and watch for like… 5 minutes until BAM! Lights went out. Then I rebooted and found that only me and the outcasts where the only ones not blown away. Since I was at the base, the Outcasts hesitated to attack, quickly deciding to retreat and resupply. Although one blurted out they were going to Orkney.
Mack just because frantic when her heard that and had a scout party quickly scout the area. We didn't find the Outcasts, but we did find a Liberty Rouge out there in a light fighter. That was a bit odd but we had him escorted out of that area.
So… too freaky today. Need a good night sleep then some elbow grease in the morning. Then…? Try to have a calm day tomorrow? I can only hope so.
PS: Seems like I written everything in reverse order. I guess the things important go on top, huh future Violet?
-after some time fixing her craft before going to sleep, Violet decided to take her ship for a ride. Later she came back and added more to her diary.- (// an edit technically)
Couldn't sleep, so I fixed up my mining equipment. Then I took it for a test drive. I talked to Harus who was paroling Java at the time too. He followed me to out mining spot and took samples. Things where good again. So we went back.
Then me and Harus talked out the jelly aliens, or "Nomads" as he called them by. Apparently there was a big deal about them some years ago, but most news doesn't reach Gran Canaria too often. That or I just never took notice. I'll have to ask him more about them later, like why they are named Nomads or where they exist.
And then some Cartel Outcasts appeared near Java, just one at first but he got a friend. I tried talking to them, but they where awfully quiet. So boring. But they left their Cali base, probably to go bug some traders. Then I just docked back at Java and... just adding this last bit. Yay. Goodnight diary.
Okay forgive me diary. I was sooooo busy yesterday day, so I'll write in you right now. Okay here I go!
So, yesterday I went back home to Gran Canaria. Visited my parents and sister, and spent a few hours together. I had a pleasant time. Relaxing too since I have noticed to do have stressful moments while working. But I eventually went back to Java.
Oh, and I talked to Roger, and he granted me permission to buy the Democritus I wanted. But I'll be required to hire a crew. So I just hired Gary! At least he won't be just leaching off me. But I'll have to keep looking around for more people.
Anyways, after I got back to Java, I helped some miners collect some ore. But some Friendly Outcast kinda gave me the chills. So I left hauling for a later date.
Then, Roger had me help set up a ship for him. Our conversation was kinda casual too, so nothing too serious. And Roger also taught me how to fight properly. It was a little tricky at first, but I caught on right away. So now I can fight I guess.
But I became really sleep and kinda headed back to Java. Then slept and now woke up and wrote here. Ta-da! Anyways, I guess I'm about to go fix up my ships, and do looking around and fun stuff.
Entry 6: Doing what I do best, because this should be a title.
Well. Nighttime now and I need to do my daily entry. I actually decided not to go out so space, but instead enjoyed some quality time with me and fixing my ship. Improving it too. Anyways, if I'm gonna hire a full time crew; Ill want to keep the crew count down on my other ships I'm not the riches miner I'll see if I can't get the process automated on Violarite and Vivinite. I got a tip that I should go to Freeport 14, but that's back in Liberty all the way though Bretoina. I donno what system though, so I'll have to ask around.
Well ranting too much on a shadowy Freeport. I COULD just build something although I do have very little skill in robotics or programming. I'm just a mechanic not a whole lot more. I just love to fix thing and spend quiet time mining Sigh I'm a romantic in that way a peaceful life making lots of friends and money too
Shesh, I'm all emotional here especially with all the . Whatever, I'll sleep nice and happy tonight. Maybe tomorrow I'll go out and help mine. Or whatever. Ciao diary. Or I might replace you with a computer log soon. Don't worry, I'll give you to my sis.
Biiiiiig day today, mostly bad. Well, today when I took off. A few of use decided to go mining. Me in my Spatial with another miner Spatial and a Bretonian Train (Which looks so ugly.) We mined until it was full Then Roger, out of the blue, starts flying at us with his brand new Barge. I mean, I was amazed at its size! But everyone one was telling him to go back, but he just called more miners and had us start filling it.
After a bit, three Cartel Outcasts came along with bombers, all of them! I mean, its just luck three of them in bombers came along? It's far out. Anyways, they began demanding money. 50 million for the barge?
Seriously? First day in use? Well Roger put out an SOS, so backup IMG, CR, AND SMP| came along. I mean, it was like 10 against 3. After much more talking the demand fell to about 17 then the fighting started at random. I think it was the freakin CR! Oh, and an outcast gunboat appeared too.
Well, all and all, it ended with our barge being blown up. And then the Cartel ran like little girls. Shesh was that their only objective? No way I'll give in into their demands! I hope ICMG don't either. I kinda took it kinda hard since I was fairly useless especially since my Spatial is so cumbersome. But boy was I angry.
After a bit of calming down, Roger invited me to help him prepare a repair ship and some strange transport. We're gonna fix our barge eventually the sooner the better. But while we were at it I took a visit to Cortez. There I bought my glorious Democritus. Ah it's all mine and so awesome! Yes! I can't wait to show it off back at Gran Canaria!
But for now I'm gonna prepare it for repair work. Be a mini base as we fix it. After that I'm gonna refit it to be a small vacation place for ICMG personnel and recreational hangout while parked off of Java or a Freeport. Oh yeah hard work does pay off Oh, and it's a great fighter killer too. Watch out, Violet's got her thorns now!
Oh, and now that I SLEEP on the Lapis Lazuli, very nice captains room to, and I ought to be switching to captains logs. So, tomorrow the logs start. Tomorrow I attempt to work for the good of the guild. And volunteer to be head engineer of the repairs on the Barge. And... make money? My recent spending spree is killing my funds!
A odd day. Kinda quiet, but at least I got some work done. Kinda.
No mining operations, just well me and Jack Selkner decided to look for the best place to repair the Barge. We picked the place between Reunion and it the station's nearby planet. Why? Because all the other good spots was high traffic areas, or near an enemy base, or too remote. The only major threat is that Gallian Forces come though and attack the Barge. Although that's highly unlikely.
And I had to be an in-between with the Zoners Trade Consortium. One of our members was violating a Freeport's no-fire zone. Basically it means there is not hanging around for non-zoners. I forwarded the conversations to our bosses
Oh, and I lazed about starting my logs my diary seems to be a better friend
Well I forgot to write anything yesterday, and the day before to I'll write this morning
Well the day before was nothing interesting. All I did was start planning on how to modify the Lapis Lazuli to be a hangout. And I'm looking for a crew. But that was it; I spent the rest of the day doing my own things.
Yesterday on the other hand was interesting. I first flew out and found that some Colonial Remnant named Church was being a complete jerk! Shooting at allies and denying it. We had a argument, telling us that us miners and worthless and we should just be left for the wolves. It was idiotic.
But oddly enough a Nomad came to visit Java. Church decided to start fighting it. Obviously he got his butt handed to him. He ran and asked some bounty hunter to help. The bounty hunter did kinda insult him, saying he was only gonna do it for the money
Well Two outcasts showed up and another CR. It became a big old battle with the Bounty hunter and Church getting blown up. I was rather pleased with Church getting beat.
After that, the ICMG decided to go out and do some mining it didn't last long as more Cartel and random outcasts showed up. I just ran and stayed away. I took the time to call in help, but the outcasts decided to do the same. And oh boy did the outcasts get reinforcements. Sadly no CR appeared. Once again Church was wrong; they are not always there when we really need them.
Well, after a few hours, I decided to visit battleship Hood in Dublin and buy myself an Arrow fighter. Its nice and fast! I just need to upgrade it. But I'm I got sleep and returned to Java Anyways brand new day. Woo!
Well. Today was kinda lousy For the most part I just wanted to upgrade my Arrow. But unfourtanly some of my allies wanted me to join them at assaulting Cali. And then I almost got spaced, I got a big hole in my hull and dragged myself back to Java. I think the attack was called off in the end... That's why we don't look for fights guys...
Then I worked on fixing my Arrow and looking over applications for my Lapiz Lazuli crew. There are a few people Ill have to contact them later. Some of them look promising.
Then later, I finally got someone to give me clearance to upgrade my ship. I went to Tau-39 and upgraded although I ran out of money when I went to buy my scanner I REALLY need to get more money
Anyways, as I headed back, I found this Cybran guy, with a Royal Navy tag. And I chased him into Tau-23. As I few out of the Jumphole, I found myself in a battle. A transport, Heagemon, and two Hougosha where fighting. I few a little closer but one of them almost spaced me again
I stumbled into Java with a BIGGER hole man what my luck Im just gonna get a good nights sleep I guess night diary I'll be ready for tomorrow.
Well I took some of my free time to explore. I found a few wrecks, and scouted out jumpholes leading to about anywhere. But the most curious thing I found today was in Coronado. Some old ring thing. It was really cool; also a Liberty Rouge ship was floating in the middle. It was long abandon but it contained some artifacts. So I picked them up and headed back home I made sure to take a picture.
Otherwise I looked though some of the applications. I have a few people I like, so I'll contact them tomorrow given I have time.
Bah another lonely day. Nothing went on, no mining operation. No nothing. I mean what's going on?
Well I tried talking tome time in space. But Three Outcasts and Church and one of his buddy where there. Church insulted me right off the bat. I don't think he'd help me if the outcasts attacked me Shesh So I just docked back in
Otherwise the coms where quiet I got lonely really lonely. I spent time creating a crew for the Lapis Lazuli. I have 7 people I wanna contact. They seem to be from all over, but it shouldn't be a problem as long as they don't have a problems.
And I finally got started on converting the Lapiz Lazuli into a recreational ship. Or, have the plans drawn up. Hosting to whoever I'm stationed at. AND! I will convert some of it into a small fabrication lab. I wanna try building custom parts if I need to. I have so much space to do the heck I want it's kinda frustrating.
And so here ends this entry Let's see what tomorrow has in store.
