Was patrolling in New York system when informed by LSF that a Rhineland Battleship had been spotted in the Texas system. Upon arriving in system, I took up position with the LPI-Leavenworth above Planet Houston. The enemy force was comprised of One Battleship and One cruiser.
Reinforcements from the LCBO and Navy soon arrived comprised of a Liberty Dreadnought and Crusier, with assorted fighter/bomber escorts.
The fighters were commanded to form up and engage the Rhineland fleet. After seeing the advance, the two hostile ships attempted to flee using the trade lane. The cruiser was caught on the lane and subsequently destroyed by Liberty weapons fire. The battleship managed to escape into cruise and was sighted leaving the system towards Rhineland territory.
I returned to the LPI-Leavenworth and escorted it out of the system safely before filing this report
I joined up with Sergeant Travors for a routine patrol of the trade lanes of New York and the surrounding systems. Pirates were reported in the California system, but were mopped up by the Assault Carrier LNS-Silent.Storm before our arrival.
Upon returning to New York, we were informed of a Rhineland incursion, and met up with several Liberty Navy and LCBO ships engaging the Rhineland Battleship Jarek.RM and Gunship Jarek's.Bodyguard-4 around Norfolk. LPI fighters lead the charge in taking out the gunship while the Navy destroyed the Battleship.
Shortly after, we engaged several Hellfire Legion fighters while the Navy forced their capital ship to retreat. The fighters remained and were chased into the Badlands by LPI and Navy fighters.
Started patrol near Manhattan with Deputy Chief Shaw, scanned trade lanes until coming upon a Junker transport liner, Finnegan's Wake, near Norfolk Shipyard. Captain was rude, but not breaking any laws. Carrying Light arms back to Junker base. Scanned another civilian armored transport and Rhino bound for Kusari space, no illicit goods.
After departure of DC Shaw, linked up with Sergeant Travers for continuing patrol. Upon hearing reports of pirate activity, crossed into California to engage two Gryffons bombers. LSF reinforcement aided us with another fighter. Both LSF fighter and my own were lost to enemy fire, forced to eject. Recommend use of overwhelming force when dealing with Gryffons in the future.
Heh, been awhile since I've done a report, but here goes.
I launched from Ft.Bush and began my patrol in the direction of Planet Manhattan. I encountered only a couple of BMM miners carry Gold ore. Along the Way, i spoke with Captain Anderson, of the LSFC-Ohio, who expressed some concern at the lack of any illicit activities. I agree that it was unusually quiet this evening in New York, Although that is not necessarily a bad thing. I proceeded to jump to the California system, and swept around the lanes, encountering only some rookie pilots of rogue and outcast persuasion. Now with prisoners, i turned back to New York and proceeded to the Texas Jump Gate. Along the way, I ran into a trader, one 'old_mulii', whom i scanned. Finding Gate/Lane parts i checked his iff, with showed Interspace commerce. I asked him if he was licensed to carry those parts, and he proceeded to show me his identification data. His id data showed him as an employee of Ageira, and he explained to me how his transponder was on the frits and he was attempting to contact a technician to repair it. I warned him and told him to get it fixed as soon as possible, after which i let him go. After this, i jumped to Texas and proceeded to Huntsville. En route i caught a sensor reading of a ship my scanners read as hostile, one 'Dishonorable Plunder' , but as i never got closer than 13k from this vessel I chose not to chase off after it. I arrived at Huntsville shortly after and unloaded the pilots i had captured into the able hands of the Huntsville's crew. I am now resting in the Huntsville's officers lounge, preparing for another patrol tommorow.
Started patrol in New York system. In Manhattan space, Scanned Junker transport Dropkick Murphy, pilot was rude, but no illegal cargo. Then scanned Heron Train Eddie.Menshino. He attempted to run at first, but then stopped. Pilot was warned, but let go, no illegal cargo. Traveled to West Point, inspected Interspace Train Kawoosh. No illegal cargo, but got a tip about Rogues in California.
Upon arriving in California, found three Liberty Rogue fighters in the Mojave Lane. They immediately ran. Deputy Chief Smith joined in the chase. Pirates were run out of Liberty Space.
Returned to New York, and recieved a tip about Outcasts in the Texas system. In patrolling Texas, I found a Zoner Carrier, the Engelfuerst. Was joined in confrontation by the LNS-Yorktown, a Cruiser. Carrier agreed to leave Liberty Space. Outcasts were not located.
Met up with Recruit Officer David Leroy for a patrol of New York. After scanning the the Center of Healing, a medical ship near Norfolk Shipyard. Recruit tried to ask them for their wine.
We then came upon a Bretonian convoy at West Point. The Summer_Sea and Winter_Sea attempted to flee scans. Upon catching them, a 50,000 fine was assessed to each then forwarded to the LPI-Leavenworth.
While patrolling on Officer Essington's wing in the New York system, we met up with Lieutenant McTavish near Newark. It was there almost immediately we set upon a Hacker vessel, piloted by a [Cyborg] called Marcus. Despite repeated efforts by both the Lieutenant and an on-site LSF heavy cruiser to get this vessel to stand down and surrender itself for dismantling, the Cyborg instead tried to flee the scene. The LSF issued warnings they were to open fire, and we gave them distance for the engagement when the Cyborg made his move.
All three officers were in pursuit, in addition to the cruiser. Swat was called in (Dt. Travers) and joined the chase.
The Cyborg then proceeded to disrupt trade lane traffic, continued to refuse lawful surrender, escort out of Liberty Space, and insisted nothing he was up to was wrong. Subject then moved into the California system.
A running all-out engagement commenced with the vessel attempting to jump to the Riverside Station and dock. To our fortune, the lane was disrupted, and the running fight resumed until the ship docked.
A short time later, the Cyborg re-emerged, and all vessels were waiting. Our engagement continued deeper into the California system, ultimately with the destruction of the offending ship. Minor damage was sustained to the pursuing officers, most of it was a result of stray weapons fire on the part of the engaged forces. Most of the return fire from Marcus was aimed at the cruiser, and not the fighter craft.
As a future note, someone attempting to disable the afterburner on the vessel, might be a useful tactic to employ. The ship was fast and extremely durable.
Patrol ended back in New York Space, with a minor incident regarding a freighter of Britannian configuration. The cargo aboard (10 artifacts) was not in excess of any limits, and so as the LT retired for the evening they were released.
RE: Patrol, New York/Pennsylvania Systems "LPI Patrol Kappa 1"
Assisting Officers:
Miranda Essington (O)
What started as an extremely quiet patrol plot on Officer Essington's wing, ended up with an encounter with a xeno named Aquila. Upon issuing common orders to submit to a cargo scan, it was discovered that the Xeno had a LPI pilot aboard, among a few others.
We issued orders for the pod to be dropped several times, each time was met with a snarky "Piggy" comeback by this Xeno. Aquila then proceeded to threaten to disable our vessels, when we instructed him we were prepared to escalate the levels of force in question.
After an intense shoot-out, Officer Essington and I managed to bring the Xeno down while sustaining relatively minor damage to ourselves (a testament to the mobility of the Liberator.)
The pilot was picked up with ease from his escape pod, and incarcerated. Our pilot was sent to the infirmary for check-out prior to return to active flight status.
Tonights patrol began at McNeil Island in Illinois. I left the system and headed down the lanes to New York. I proceeded to run to loops of the system, never seeing any possible pirates close enough to bother chasing. I saw one Lane Hacker, Callsign Vinny, and 2 other Hostiles. The 2 others never got close enough for an accurate scan. After clearing New York, I proceeded to California. Upon completing a sweep there, With no hostile encounters, i returned to New York. Though still quiet, I met an independant police pilot buy the name Sala_Kimaru. After some discussion on the finer points of the Liberator, The pilot expressed some interest in joining the primary fleet. I forwarded them to our information services desk. I also flew a quick patrol into Texas, seeing nothing but that Vinny guy on the edge of my scanners again. After that, i Proceeded to return to Illinois and dock with Police Plaza.
