Greetings to you, Mr Hathor. My name is Richard Wainwright, and I represent the Hellfire Legion. You will have heard of us, I have no doubt, though probably not in the best of lights. I am contacting you here to make you aware of a few things.
First, and most importantly, is that yourself, your employees and your vessels have nothing to fear from the Hellfire Legion. The tales spread about us by certain institutions within Liberty are exaggerations at best, and outright lies at worst. Should you require our protection at any time, you need only call upon us, and if we are able, we will endeavour to assist. We are Libertonians, Mr Hathor, and we care deeply about her wellbeing and prosperity. This does, of course, bring us into conflict with those that have other agendas.
We would, of course, request that you advise your employees to avoid becoming entangled in any of these occurrences that they may run across during their working week. For their own safety, if nothing more.
Another request we would make of you is to report to us the names of any smugglers of illegal goods into Liberty you may encounter in your travels. This will enable us to more effectively eradicate the problems these smugglers cause, which should, in turn, help to increase your profit margins.
As to what we might offer you in return? Well, Mr Hathor, what can we offer you in return?

Dear Fleet Admiral Richard Wainwright,
I'm sure you understand when I say it is a surprise to receive a message from you Mr.Wainwright, however it is a surprise which is not unpleasant in the slightest. I have heard many rumors and reports of the Legion's activities in Liberty space, however it wouldn't of been the first time for propaganda to hit my ears.
I am very pleased to hear that you are no threat to iKytec's interests. It really does put a smile on my face to hear of increased company safety. As for Legion protection, I am sure you know that if the Navy or police catch you lads and lasses protecting our ships directly, we would both be in hot water. The liberty law would be thrown upon us harder than a sledge hammer on stone. Maybe if you tailed our ships, it may work but direct escorting, is not a sensible option.
As for this 'list of smugglers'. I can request iKytec employees keep a tag of illegal smugglers for a comprised list sent to the Legion. If you want this, just tell me and we can execute it right away.
What can you offer in return? General protection and 'under the table' alignment of our vessels for the better of both partys is reasonable. I fear we don't need anything else, if we do find something, we will contact you.
I'm sure you know that it would be better for both of us if we kept this communication, and any and all following communications, as well as alignments, on the down low from others.
Your concerns about the Navy and Police of Liberty are well founded. The escorts we offer would in no way be overt. We would simply shadow, or preceed your vessels, advising of dangers, or we could simply be called upon, by any of your employees, should the need arise. There would be no way for the Navy or Police to be able to tie our appearances to your company. Believe me, we are masters at covert operations. The years we spent as the hunted have schooled us extremely well.
Anyway, the choice to make use of us is yours. Just know that the option is there for you.
As for the smugglers, yes, we would appreciate any information you, or your employees, can pass on. I would suggest you utilise this channel, or alternatively direct a secure, coded datastream to satellite X733T69MMJ0 located in Magellan.
