Heinrich Gottfried, a BDM Kommissar who oversees Wilde investigations, was having a bad day. Heinrich found himself tucked behind some crates in the alleyway. His shoulder ached from the blaster wound and the rain wasn't helping much either.
Examining his watch he noted it was already 0207. Glancing down the deserted street Heinrich caught a glance of his would-be assassin, and almost received a wound to the forehead to show for it. To think, just a few minutes earlier he was safe and content in his home office.
An hour prior: 0102.
Heinrich walked into his private study exhausted. Slumping down into his chair he noticed an unusual dossier in the usual stack of paperwork.
"What has Aurich found this time?"
Heinrich glances down, briskly skimming over the document.

Last transmission recieved at 1330. Unknown what Herman was refering to. Likely KIA by Hessian forces.
At the bottom of the report there is a hastily handwritten note.
Heinrich I hope this reaches your hands, if it does you know what to do after reading it.
If it does not, well I'm prepared for that. These are some lost transmissions picked up by 'friends' in the Hessians.
[Herman - 1315] Finally! Alpha Wing is that you?
[Unknown - 1315] Nein Rheinwehr, this is a BDM special task wing.
[Herman - 1315] Well, we're glad to see you!
[Herman - 1320] Ach! More Hessians! We must retreat!
[Unknown - 1320] Agreed Rheinwehr, follow us!
After that the last transmission received was in the report, I have no idea who that Wing was, but I don't know of any BDM in O11.
I have the original transcript so don't worry about destroying this one. You know who needs to hear about this. Gott Speed old friend.
Heinrich leans back in his office chair bemusedly muttering to himself.
"Out of the entire Wing only one goes missing. What happened to you Herr Herman? And who were those others?"
Heinrich chuckles to himself blissfully unaware of the dark shadow gathering outside his vision.
The shadow's presence only briefly betrayed by a small flash of purple in his eyes.
The Wilde agent felt joy as he loomed behind his target. Raising his blaster the Wilde knew his target was as good as dead.
That was, before the agent received an unscheduled lobotomy from Heinrich's blaster he kept hidden under his desk.
Grimacing, Heinrich eased out of his chair walking over to the now limp once Rheinlander giving him a soft kick with his boot. "Hmph. What a waste. I guess I'll have someone come clean this up tomorrow."
Or at least, that's what Heinrich would have said if suddenly the world wasn't a spinning, searing world of pain as Heinrich tumbled from his second story window, a new hole in his shoulder cutting off his statement.
Landing with a hard, audible crunch Heinrich glanced up dazed. He was 'lucky' to have some empty wooden crates to break his fall. A second Wilde agent returned his gaze.
Somehow throughout all of this Heinrich had kept his grasp on his personal blaster, lobbing a few rounds towards the newly opened window.
Heinrich knew he had only bought himself a few seconds, but in those precious seconds he managed to get his aching and battered body into motion, practically jumping to his feet.
"Stupid. Stupid. I should have assumed there would be more." Heinrich grunted, his breathing cut by the searing pain from each step.
Ducking behind a corner Heinrich listened carefully, the soft steps of the Wilde assassin audible only by the puddles of rainwater. However, the white noise of the rainfall wasn't helping.
Stealing a glance down the street Heinrich ducks back, nearly receiving a second wound, this one in his forehead. "Mein gott. I wonder who the mole was. Someone must have tipped them off."
Frowning, Heinrich knew that when he... if he survived this, the pain in his shoulder giving its honest second opinion, he would personally hunt down and purge BDM of every last mole.
Stumbling down the alley Heinrich knew to survive this he had to lay a trap. Glancing around at his surroundings he suddenly realized his mistake.
"Oh mein Gott... its a dead end." Shivers went down Heinrich's spine at the unintentional wording. Carefully reshuffling back to the corner, he heard the agent's footsteps getting close.
Turning the corner blaster raised Heinrich screeched, "Die you abomination!"
Instead of gloriously maiming the assassin, Heinrich simply found himself on his back dazed once again. The agent's boot-heel pressed tightly against Heinrich's wrist.
Invasive thoughts filled Heinrich's mind, **Persistant. You should be dead human. Instead, you destroyed one of our hosts.**
Heinrich screamed back, "Get off me you filthy pest! I'll kill you once I get free!"
The thoughts, now seemingly full of mocking laughter filled his mind, **Making threats until the end human? You destroyed one of our better insurgents. In your *darkname* intel seekers.**
Heinrich finally opened his eyes, staring into those soulless purple gems, his face contorting from pure rage to sudden, abrupt, ghastly horror.
Heinrich choked, "You.. aren't."
The Das Wilde agent merely smiled in a sort of unfriendly, humorless way, actually speaking out to Heinrich, "Yes human. We require a new host."
The agent carefully, as if to not further damage Heinrich's body, crashed his palm against Heinrich's temple knocking him unconscious.
Day 2:
**Wake.**
This sole thought filled the body that once was Heinrich Gottfried's. The limbs started to respond, somewhat stiffly as the newest Wilde addition took to his feet.
Heinrich's eyes flashed purple as the incubus finished getting settled into its new body. Carefully twitching each of his fingers the agent got a feel for his new body and then took a few cautious steps.
The new agent made its way through the rain back 'home' to gather the documents.
Three hours later: 0527.
Heinrich walked into the BDM headquarters giving a curt nod to the secretary on duty.
The secretary glanced up with an annoyed glare before a glimpse of the Kommissar insignia on his neck caused her to cut her agitated outburst short, "Wha- Herr Kommissar! We were not expecting you."
Heinrich responded curtly, "Frankly Frau that is none of your business." The secretary wiltered, "J-Jawohl herr Kommissar." The once Kommissar rounded the corner quickly pleased that the act was going so well.
Heinrich located the door he had been heading for, the door identified in his 'memory' as the repository for all BDM investigations into Wilde activity.
Stepping inside the Wilde agent felt joy... and an odd sense of humor, as the paranoid BDM kept all their files in hard copy for fear of digital security breaches.
Searching through the folders Heinrich found everything he had been searching for, and some. There were reports even he hadn't seen in his past life detailing almost everything the BDM knew about current Wilde agents... and suspected ones.
Suddenly a voice broke the thoughts of Wilde agent, "Heinrich? What are you doing here? Why didn't you tell me you were coming I could have gotten you a drink."
Heinrich spun around nearly dropping the folder eying his old friend Aurich barely maintaining composure as he spoke, "Mein gott! Aurich... Don't... sneak up on me like that."
Aurich chuckles but then notices all the open folders and cabinents, "Heinrich? What are you doing in here..."
The agent thinking quickly responds in hushed tones, "I- I think I'm onto something big Aurich." Heinrich walks over to the door glancing down the hallways before continuing.
Heinrich summons Aurich inside, "Come in, quickly! While noone is around." Heinrich walks over to the table his back to Aurich and sighs.
Turning around to face him again Heinrich speaks, "This is huge Aurich, this agent is at the top of commmand." Aurich nods slowly, "Who is it mein friend?"
Heinrich walks over to his 'friend' placing his hands on his shoulders lightly, "Mein friend. First, thank you for your support... As for the identity of the agent."
Aurich's body slumps to the floor lifeless, Heinrich stands over his once friend. "I'm sorry Aurich, it seems you were the Wilde agent after all. Gut thing I managed to stop you, too bad you managed to destroy some of these files first."
Heinrich pockets the files he was after before taking off his gloves and jacket. Taking out his personal combat knife he carefully mutilates his friend's chest planting the dead incubus from the original agent inside, making it look as if it died while escaping.
He wipes off the blood on his friend's uniform slipping his gloves and jacket back on before roughing up his uniform a bit and rushing down the hall. "Frau! Frau! A Wilde had infiltrated der facility-"
Heinrich tells the truly sad tale of betrayal and death, before returning home citing needing some time alone to deal with his friends death, which of course was granted.
A few days later:
Heinrich sat at his desk in his personal office looking over some documents like usual when a sudden knock and opening of the door took him by surprise.
Two BDM officers, just under Heinrich's rank walked into his office and addressed him before he could open his mouth, "Guten Tag Herr Gottfried."
Heinrich raised a brow and responded, "Und who exactly are you two? Und why are you here?"
The same officer continued his address, "Ah yes, why we're here. Well der autopsy report from Aurich came back. Und there is no way that incubus was controlling him."
Heinrich adjusted himself in his chair, "Is that so... Well then. I'm certain that's not all that you came to tell me."
The officer shifted in place continuing, "You know you must come back to command for a... health inspection."
Heinrich closed his eyes and sighed, "Verstanden, do you mind if I put up mein papers. It would be unprofessional to leave such documents out."
The officer looked over to the silent one who nodded, the first officer acknowledged Heinrich, "Ja. You can."
Heinrich nods and starts gathering up the papers putting them together in a nice stack before 'accidentally' dropping one and muttering, "Ach."
Heinrich leans down standing the folders up straight on the desk before sitting up straight.
Heinrich shot the two BDM officers through the dossiers and stood up, stating to the dying men, "It seems I have overstayed mein welcome. Have a gut afternoon officers."
Heinrich laughs walking out the door.
Officially Heinrich is listed as missing, however the agents of BDM and the High Command of the Rheinwehr have their own opinions.
