I received a report of a Rogue Gunboat pirating in New York, and I jumped into my Upholder Bomber to check it out. I met up with two other officers, and we commenced a search for this Rogue. Not to long later, we found him, sitting on the Fort Bush -> Colorado tradelane. We stopped him, and fined him, 1,750,000 SC for his acts of piracy as defined under the Liberty Law codex, and the fine was forwarded to the LPI-Rikers. It would've been more, but he cooperated with no problems at all. See what happens when they cooperate?
Also, I'm now free of investigations. If anything needs to be investigated, please bring it to my attention.
Devin noticed the note on his desk once he walked in with a piping hot cup of coffee. He decided to send a note back to the Officer, he wrote:
Have you checked Oliver Shaw's office near the accounting office, in the corner by the woman's restroom? Make sure he isn't looking when you check, or he'll taze you 'till your nipples are fried.
He called for a secretary to deliver the note, and the woman came in, smiled, and picked up the note, walking it to it's destination.
Do you want to physically and mentally challenge yourself?
Do you want to further your service in the LPI?
The Blackwatch
Do you have what it takes?

There was another memo:
It takes a cunning individual, with a select set of skills to track down a criminal.
Skills that can be taught to those willing to learn.
Skills that set you apart from other Officers.
Skills that you'll value for a lifetime.
If you are the rank of a Sergeant or above, and want to use your head to fight crime in Liberty, then fill out an application to become a Detective in the LPI. Include your name, rank, and reason for wanting to become a Detective.
After receiving orders to Rename my ship appropriately, and getting help with the lights and loadout for my ship, I proceeded to patrol the lanes of NY.
Nothing to report until LN officers ordered me to assist with 2 highly suspicious caracters claiming to be priests but carrying contraband through liberty space in Kusari-made civillian gunships. After some time and several threats from the LN officers, the two "Fathers" dropped their contraband and fled to Texas.
The rest of my patrol was taken up with petty lane disruptors.
James scrolls through some unread messages on his datapad and notices something about Blackwatch. After reading a big smile comes on his face and he makes a b line for Deputy Shaw's office. He doesn't even bother knocking, just busting in.
Sir! I just noticed this message about Blackwatch. I want to join!
I'll do whatever it takes to make it in. Just give me a chance to show you what I've got!
Awaiting Shaw's reply, James takes a second to catch his breath.
Another busy patrol. Began in Pennsylvania, found everything pleasantly orderly. A few miners and traders. Started to hope my second shift would be a quiet one.
That changed when I jumped to NY. Doesn't it always?
Within minutes I came across a Rogue Gunboat. Needless to say I pursued the felon as he ran to Rochester Base. Junkers obviously wanted noyhing to do with him - he re-emerged a minute later. Contacted LSF agent for assistance, and I was mightily pleased when he sent half the Navy to assist.
I followed him to the Badlands, but lost him when he entered. Essex he called his ship.
Patrolled the edge of the badlands, but we'd scared him off.
Got a call from Navy to assist with a cargo scan of a Junker - Ragnarok. He was carrying MV's to a Battle Ship I wasn't familiar with. the route they gave checked out, so I escorted them through some unfamiliar systems to BS Concord. Although it's near a Rheinland JH, they kept to the route. Maybe these Junkers aren't so bad...
Escorted them back to Texas (must remember to tell uncle Vincent about this trade route - seemed much better than his), then returned to NY.
Recruit officer Thraal joined us, and after patrolling NY with Navy we went to Penn to follow up on a lead of his. Turned out to be a hit and run (Gadius), who resisted arrest several times and was finally taken out by Officer Thraal. We gave him every chance to comply and pay a fine, but he made his choice.
Thraal signed off to file his report, and I finished my patrol of Pennsylvania. Nothing more to report - except a faulty autopilot that flew me a little too close to a star.
My insurance does cover the repairs right? cos these wages ain't gonna strech to it sir.
On a separate matter sir, I'd like to put myself forward for promotion to full officer. I think I've met the requirements for patrols, and I'm sure the Navy pilots will give you some idea of my ability.
I'd also like to recommend officer Thraal. He's certainly got dedication and courage. I think we both got an eye on SWAT
Suddenly, James Hall fell through a collapsed trap door placed at the spot he stood in. Shaw could only let out a small chortle, as he kept reading his Monday morning news on his personal datapad.
James landed on a chair in an almost pitch black room, in the bowels on One Police Plaza. The room was lit by a single light bulb, hanging with a thick lampshade to dim out any light that isn't right below it.
An electronically scrambled voice began,"Officer James Hall, it has come to my attention that you wish to be part of the Blackwatch, is this true?
James nodded, somewhat frightened of the security level of this room.
"Do you have what it takes?"
"I think so," James said, still wondering why he was in a dark room with a single light above his head, the rest of the room to dark to see.
Some lights turned on, and a familiar face appeared.
"James", Devin began, this time without his voice-scrambler, "I trust that you'll be a great addition the Blackwatch, you're in."
