Matt looks terrible as black soot covers his face and burn marks and tears are across his uniform. He looks at his Guardian, chunks of the hull missing and a hole in the starboard wing where a missile shot through it.
Sirs,
[color=##33CCFF]That.. that is what's left of my fighter over there.. It's gonna take a full couple of days to get it back up and operational again.. But I make this report knowing that we've stopped another incursion.
Capt Zander's had got some intel - We're not sure from where, that the SCRA were planning on hitting Liberty from the California side. John and I were on standby and we rushed to the Magellan gate. On orders from Zanders - we headed to Magellan where we intercepted the SCRA forces at the Leeds jumphole. My scanner went nuts, It's a lovely wee thing when it works this battleship scanner - we were able to track down and intercept the two SCRA contacts before they could get near any civilian targets.
We were up against Walter Steiner and Joshua Jimenez. Walter was in an Insurgent class Heavy fighter, Joshua in an Odin Hessians fighter. We've long suspected that the Hessians are working for the Coalition. This almost gives irrefutable proof.
I was the focal point of the enemies attack, with Walter seeming keen to duel me and let off his missiles. It was tough to stay away from him and his cannonballs especially when Joshua kept pushing in as well. John kept me supplied and eventually we got lucky and Walter was downed. Joshua had kept Walter fed with bots/bats as well and we knew that we could push home our advantage 2v1. Even though I battled with half hull for the bulk of the fight - We managed to take Joshua down with my magma's connecting and the target being destroyed. I saw some very weird after effects though sirs - something like a cloaking escape pod?! I'm not sure - It didn't stay around for long and my scanners couldn't pick up the faint unknown radiation source. I have a strange feeling we will seeing them again.
The operation was a success - however a taxing one. At least we didn't lose anyone this time around.
Wherever Zander's is getting this intel - Keep it coming.

Matt dusts himself down, takes a sip of whisky and then gets to work on fixing his fighter.

Little addendum before starting: Thanks for the promotion, I feel proud of my job here as a Navy pilot and I'll keep doing my best ensure the safery of our House.
Sub-Lieutenant Ashfield submitting report:
First shift of the day started around 1730 SMT. I moved from Planet Houtson orbit to New York. In my way to RV with Whitehall, I spotted Veera Allen alongside a Zoner Conference Gunboat (Callsign: C.a.i.n). Since Allen was tagged as criminal, I decided to give her the first -and last- chance to leave our space. Since she was ignoring both Whitehall and me, we had to open fire on her ship. It wouldn't be a problem if it wasn't for that Conference Gunboat which decided to assist Allen, so we had to set priority on taking down the bigger ship first. We got assisted by a TF7 and a random LSF agent, though both were blasted by the hostile vessels. We couldn't do much until Kelly arrived. The gunboat was succesfully destroyed, but Allen managed to escape.
Whitehall and me had to repair and refuel, so it took me some time until I could rejoin Kelly in California. She was dealing with a certain trader suspected of illegal actions. Suddenly, that well-known pilot called Jarek showed up on his Hacker bomber. There was a mercenary in scene who began to fire upon it, but since it was taking him some time, Kelly assisted the mercenary. Despite I was staying away from the fight, Jarek decided to shoot me, so I had no other alternative than engaging. We evetually took it down...Actually, he did the job by himself, though I had to recover Kelly's escape pod.
Second shift of the day started around 2215 SMT. Some of us were dealing with the Hellfire Legion near Norfolk. I was ordered to remain stand by... Until a random Hacker ship showed up. Again, Whitehall and me were ordered to chase it. Then, Commodore Robinson gave us green light to destroy it.
Since the situation with the HF pilots was covered, Captain Zanders took us to California, where Whitehall would RV with Lieutenant Tippman some time later. I jumped into Magellan with Zanders to check our pilots who were fighting the SCRA. It was covered too, until a bunch of Lane Hackers showed up. We only managed to blast Mr Sanguinetti, while the rest decided to hide in the Freeport. Our pilots won the fight against the SCRA hostiles, so we moved back to California. I perfomed a quick patrol alongside Tippman and ended the shift.

A pretty good patrol today. I launched my ship and met up with the battlegroup in California, Captain Zander assigned me to take command of a patrol consisting of me and Ensign Whitehall. We ran customs and borders duty at the cortez jumpgate for a while. While waiting for a couple of minutes we ran into a pirate x shuttle callsigned Saint.Anna.the.Virgin? Even though I had a suspicion that she was definetly not innocent, she inferred and preached like she was a true saint and follower of god. But it would not be the first time I would have been deceived, I believe we should keep watch on her.
After a while another patrol group found hostile pirates in Magellen, We were called to reinforce the battle. Me and Whitehall made our way towards magellen, and arrived just in time to clean up the fray, Mr. Sanguitti ended up being destroyed, however Phate and another pirate docked on the IMG Freeport, which I, personally, was very surprised about. I am sure we should have a little chit chat with our IMG friends about this.
Later I returned to New York, Gold Wing were battling Hellfire Legion, and like always, they had it under control. Sub Lt. Ashfield joined my patrol and we did a quick rundown of Pennsylvania, nothing to report, and finished up patrolling every station, planet, and gate in New York. All was clear except the petty little Legionarries. I concluded the patrol, and headed to the bar to pound down some Nattys

*The Ensign seems frustrated.*
Very short patrol today, thanks to the Phantoms.
I was called to a fire fight near Fort Bush; though my scanners malfunctioned and I was unable to track or ID targets. I docked at the Fort and commandeered another fighter, though by the time I was cleared to launch, it was already over for our side. There were still hostile contacts on long range scopes; so I set a course to intercept.
The Skirmish on my arrival.
On closing, I encountered an Outcast Sabre and a Phantom... Hell. I don't know what it was. Miles ahead of anything we're using. The Outcast seemed to be looking for a fight, going so far as to drop a mine on my ship. Shields absorbed most of the blast, thankfully. Engineers finally got it right.
Hostile Contacts.
The Phantom, 'Bane' seemed to find it all very amusing and assured the Outcast that he'd far prefer to shoot me. Lucky me. While this was going on; I requested support. Bane then set about turning my hull to scrap. Good thing it was a borrowed ship I suppose. My support arrived half way through the fight in the form of four fighters. [LN]-Daniel.Carter, LN-Robert.Woodard TF7|SK-C.Anders and TF7|SK-J.Smith.
Bane.
Shortly after their arrival the Phantom scored a hit on my engines; killing power. Blasted the Avenger apart in short order. Got bloody hot in there. I wasn't the only one, Carter and Smith also lost ships there; also to the Phantom. Say what you will, he's a damn good pilot. On the upside, Mr Woodard dealt with the Outcast.
*Sighs.*
I'd best fill out that loss of material form.
Two alarms were set off. One in the Alaska system and one in the Hamburg system. I formed a small fighter wing consisting of myself, Ensign Jennifer Kelly and Lieutenant Matt Smith to deal with the Alaska threat. On the scene we spotted three Rheinland Fighters. How they managed to pass the Texas system, then enter New York, breach through the Z-21 minefield and end up in Alaska. Is beyond my comprehension. They would had to pass at least five inner and outer defence mechanisms.
Regardless, two targets were neutralized and the last one managed to flee before we could catch them.
I put up a RV at Planet Houston in the Texas system. Gathered my units and proceeded to Hudson. We had reports of Rheinland activity there. I issued a search & destroy mode but to no avail. All Rheinland units had entered the Bering system by now and were headed towards the Hamburg system according to LSF intel. We re-grouped once again at Planet Houston and made a direct and swift assault towards the Hamburg jumpgate.
At this time the enemy forces had jumped but since the LSF was in that system, we were forced to follow to make sure they were not pinned down. A battle broke out near the jumpgate to Bering. We sent in everything, Fighters, Bombers as well as several Capital Ships. The battle was extremely intense and both sides lost numerous fighters. However, the enemy forces had gathered a large Capital Ship force that could rival ours, and it managed to beat it. Fighters from both sides continued the fight as the enemy capital ships were forced to back away due to not being able to tackle such small class-ships.
Few more losses were handed out to both sides, but I decided to retreat mid-battle because of the risk that we would lose far too many of our units. We live to fight another day, Admirals.

Sirs,
[color=##33CCFF]Today we showed the resolve that Liberty has, and prove that we are willing to do what it takes to win this war.
First off, there was a small RM force in Alaska - Obviously the prelude. Myself, Zanders and Kelly were dispatched to remove it. Halfway through the fight, I was redirected to Texas where the main bulk of the RM forces appeared to be targeting. A lone RM cruiser dropped out of the trade lane right in Houston's orbit and the ol'Miss went into it's usual frenzy. The cruiser lasted all of 30seconds and was lost with all hands. Capt Virgil Redline commented on what a waste it was. We think the crew must have been trying to launch either a hopeful recovery of it's fighters in Alaska or a suicide run at the Mississippi. After that small scirmish - The LSF came on station to start deep recon, and found the enemy in Hudson. So sooner had we reorganised our forces and launched into Hudson - My long range scanners picked up that the enemy force had jumped to Bering. The LSF followed through and then pushed into Hamburg to find out what was behind the enemy forces. Our strike group comprising Capt Zanders, Lt Smith (me), Ensign Kelly, Ensign Sartori and Ensign Turner turned around back to Texas, then into Bering and finally to ambush the enemy forces. We were outnumbered initially, before the heavy guns arrived in the shape of an LABC, Dreadnought and LSC. Assault1 also showed up to keep the enemy capital ships off us while we battled the RM forces. Slowly but surely, the Rheinlanders brought in more and more reinforcements and our capital ships were forced to retreat. We stuck around a while longer before we lost all 3 Ensigns to engine trouble and localised ionisation respectively. Zanders sounded the retreat and we flew back at best speed.
Minimal damage was done to my ship, thankfully. All this baby needs is a wash and a wax.
