- Where was your last place of employment? What experience do you have? I was employed by my father who was captain of a Shire. And after that I have been captain of a Shire for 5 as an independant contractor.
- To what division are you applying? Shipping Division.
- Do you already own a ship? If so, what kind? If it is not listed above, can you afford one of the ones listed? I am currently in possession of a "Shire" Bretonian Container Transport.
- If you are applying for the Shipping division, what would you name your ship? Why? I would name it Yorktown.
- Why are you interested in working for Border World Exports? With the war going on it is safer to work for a big corporation and I would be helping Bretonia at the same time.
-Tell us about yourselves, what are your dislikeskes etc (minimum of 100 words) Well I guess I should start at the beginning. I was born on planet Harris in a family of somewhat wealthy traders. My family owned a couple of Shires. I've been taught how to pilot a transport since I was 10 years old. My parent always took me with them on their trips. When I was 18 they gave me one of the Shires and let me trade on my own, until I was able to buy my own. And I still have that Shire.
Let's see what I like and what I don't like. I definitely do not like Kusarians and Gallians. Both their governments tried to take my home, planet Harris. Pirates are another thing I hate. I've lost many credits to them.
Now about the things I do like. I sure love having a drink in the bar with my crew. That is the only time when I can actually relax, without fearing some pirate will ambush my crew and I. Another thing I love is unleashing my ship's guns at a pirate and blowing him up. And last but not least, I'd like to join Bowex! *smiles*

- What is your full name?
Andrew Jonathan Husker
- Where do you live?
I resident currently on Planet New London. But my time is basically spent in space, looking for the best deals.
- Where was your last place of employment? What experience do you have?
I've been a Freelance trader for a short time, making runs from Bretonia to Liberty mostly. After that I met a friend in the bar on the Lancaster Trade Center and he told me that Bowex were recruiting seasoned freighter pilots. So I enlisted, bought a Clydesdale and started looking for official Bowex job.
- To what division are you applying?
I am applying to the Shipping Division.
- Do you already own a ship? If so, what kind? If it is not listed above, can you afford one of the ones listed?
Yes I fly a B-27-E Clydesdale Bretonia Freighter outfitted by Bowex standards.
Also I will be able to buy a new ship affter some traderuns.
Will buy a Transport class bretonian Percheron - B-40E shortly. - If you are applying for the Shipping division, what would you name your ship? Why?
Well the Clydesdale I'd name it "Steed" because the Clydesdale is a horse. Working, loyal and depended on for survival and prosperity.
The Transport - I'd name it "Farset", because it's a name of a river In ancient Ireland that I used to read about from a very old book, my father keeps like his eyes.
- Why are you interested in working for Border World Exports?
I am interested in helping Bretonia. I see it crucial for maintaining a trading goods balance flow and keep the people of Bretonia fed. Also by doing this I could make money. It's a win-win situation.
I choose Bowex because they execute their tasks professionally. I am interested in transporting goods and cooperating with BMM miners by transporting their ore.
-Tell us about yourselves, what are you dislikeskes etc (minimum of 100 words)
Myself and family:
I was born New London In a middle-class family.
I am currently 27 years old.
My parents were traders too and now retired.
Both parents still live in New London and I also have an older brother. He is 29 and the most stubborn man
I swear! He left for Liberty and I haven't seen him since. I guess all man have to chase their own fortune...
Anyway I see my goal lays in searching my fortune in Bowex. Now they and the BMM are the air that fills the BAF lungs and the first line of defense (not literary, but without supplies BAF won't last long).
Dislikes and Likes:
I am gonna keep it short here, because I am no judge of people. I guess I dislike people who hurt others for "fun" or murder without reason. I hate greed, lying, stealing. That basically being said I hate it, but I will not judge anyone.
Likes? Well the good characteristics like kindness, justice, discretion, wisdom and so on. But mostly wisdom.
Before I go waxing philosophical I will end my app here. I hope "they" becomes "we" shortly.
- What is your full name?
Ilyes Zip
- Where was your last place of employment? What experience do you have?
I've been a Freelance trader, making runs from Bretonia to Liberty, I'm a experimented trader and i'm a captain of a Shire an independent contractor.
- To what division are you applying?
I am applying to the Shipping Division.
- Why are you interested in working for Border World Exports?
it's safer to work for a big corporation and I would be helping Bretonia at the same time because since my birth i have been in Bretonia world.
- You happen across a Gateway convoy that is under attack by Red Hessians. What do you do and why?
I'll Help the Gateway convoy Because i consider Red Hessians as enemies.
- You encounter a corporate trader of Gallic origin. It croaks mockingly at you. What do you do and why?
I will defend myself with my words, I'll talk to him about our company to convince him that it's the Best.
All that because i been a bretonnian trader so long ago and i can't let traders talking bad about it.
- How do you feel about Glaswegian badgers?
I'm feeling Sick.
- Where was your last place of employment? What experience do you have?
I last worked freelance, tagging along with convoys for security. Bowex has always done right by me, and I figured that staying independent is not worth the trouble. I can cite Mark Sanders and Tyler Skye as my references.
- Where do you live?
I maintain a small, mostly unused apartment on New London. I spend most of my time on the trade lanes, after all.
- To what division are you applying?
Shipping.
-Do you already own a ship?
I own a Clydesdale, mostly to spec except for plating.
- Why are you interested in working for Border World Exports?
-Bowex is an old, honourable and secure business, and maybe the primary economical backbone of Bretonia. A profitable and surprisingly social and (sometimes) good-natured venture, and in short, I admire it, and wish to be part of it.
-If you are applying for the Shipping division, what would you name your ship? Why?
My ship is already named the Dover, a name I would like it to keep. It's nice, solid, and thouroughly Bretonian.
-Tell us about yourself.
I am 28 years old, and I like the nice, simple things in life. Running a convoy with a few chatty buggers for company. Profit. Singing on the comms whilst breaking a Frog or pirate blockade. A strong drink when in a safe home port. I recognize, and find some confidence in the fact that I am not unlike quite a few Bretonians these days- I have ambition, the willpower to accomplish my goals, and a strong sense of duty. As for dislikes?
Bad brewing (still or kettle mismanagement, I don't care which), pirates, foreign hostility and Curacao.
Don't ask me about that last one. Ask Sanders, or Skye. They'll tell you at the drop of a hat. Just don't bother me about it, please.
- Where was your last place of employment? What experience do you have?
Excuse my verbosity, but I think to understand the unique experience I've had, this story needs to be told.
Having been orphaned early in life, left to fend for my sister and myself at the age of 12, I've always been a survivor. Mum and Da weren't much of anybody, and when they died in a transport attack, only my sister and I cared. At first we survived on the streets. After a time, we were surviving in a little motel room. One day we were surviving by selling odds and ends we had found that we thought might have some value. A tall, handsome man stopped a few meters away, and leaned against the wall. He seemed to be watching me, hawking my wares. I decided to put on a bit of a show. When I was done showing off, I looked to see if the stranger was still there. He was, and I noticed he seemed very out of place, with his large stylish coat and expensive looking hat and shoes. Everyone on the sidewalk was giving him a wide berth. Being the child that I was, I was thinking how fortunate it was that no one else had picked his pocket yet, when the man approached. He stopped and said a few soft words to my sister, handing her a sweet from his pocket. He then marched over to me.
"You're a most remarkable salesman, young man. Where is your father, so that I may congratulate him?"
I was immediately wary. It wasn't unusual for street orphans to go missing in the slums, and him asking about my father put my back up.
"He's down the block. Eating lunch."
The man eyed the street carefully, then leaned towards me. In a conspiratorial voice he said "Young man, my name is Lord Thomas McKinnis. I tell you this quietly because if the wrong ears heard it, I may well be killed."
He stood back up again, and considered me for a long moment. "Now, since I've shared something secret and important with you, why don't you do the same for me?"
There was a terrible moment of indecision. Street orphans don't trust easily or often. Looking into Lord McKinnis' face, I felt somehow comforted, and I made the best decision of my entire life just then. "We don't have a father, m'Lord."
"Oh?"
"He died, when we was younger. With my mum."
Lord McKinnis stood there for a moment more. Seemingly coming to a decision, he swept my sister and I along the street, saying "come now, children. You'll be wanting a good meal and a bath."
From that moment on, we were Lord McKinnis' children. The Lord had never been married, and he had no siblings with whom he could share the joy of children, so I think he very much enjoyed our company. In less than a year, we were officially adopted. He taught me many things, over the next several years. Negotiation, tactics, management. The most important thing he taught me was how to trust.
Lord McKinnis died last year, and it's time I start my own story. I have chosen not to inherit my father's title or estate. I've let that all go to my dear sister, who deserves that much and more. Instead I will forge my own path through the stars, and into the history books.
I was a bit vague in my explanation of my concrete skills my father taught me. Here is a brief, relevant list. Feel free to inquire further, if needed: Negotiation (Settled small border dispute on New London), Haggling (Reduced our fuel price and lost/wasted inventory by signing with a newly formed competitor of our previous provider. Father knew it was risky, but it payed off at a nearly 43% savings.) We were also taught proper manners and I've rubbed elbows with the powerful and wealthy for a good portion of my life. I can be an asset in the boardroom, the ballroom, and the battlefield.
- To what division are you applying?
Shipping.
- Why are you interested in working for Border World Exports?
I tend to be verbose, so allow me to be brief in this instance: Border World Exports casts too large a shadow over our market for any competitor to hope to thrive. I'd be willing to scratch a living on the edges of happiness, but why do that when you can go to the source?
- You happen across a Gateway convoy that is under attack by Red Hessians. What do you do and why?
It depends on the exact situation. Assuming I am alone and in a freighter or transport ship, I head for the nearest Trade Lane and get to safety. However, were we in a convoy under my command, I would dispatch our fighters to assist the Gateway convoy. The order would be at the lead fighter's discretion to stay or simply to add to the distraction as we made it to a Trade Lane. Under no circumstances would he be allowed to endanger Bowex property, and should only stay for clean up.
- You encounter a corporate trader of Gallic origin. It croaks mockingly at you. What do you do and why?
I don't concern myself with silly buggers. He can stand on the launch pad and make jokes, I'll be making profits.
- Do you already own a ship? If so, what kind?
I currently own only the most basic of freighters - A CSV class ship. I very recently had an... unpleasant encounter with a pirate, who alleviated me of the problem of owning my Clydesdale.
- If you are applying for the Shipping division, what would you name your ship? Why?
The Daisy. This is both my dear sister and my departed paternal grandmother's name.

- What is your full name?
My full name is Jan Peters, and as it would suggest, my family name is of dutch origin, back to the roots of our ancestors from Sol. While the dutch nation never participated in the Sleeper Ship project, nor received it's own systems or planets in the new world, numerous people of dutch nationality travelled aboard the "Rheinland" to Sirius, and their families have lived in Rheinland ever since, still conserving our traditions and language throughout the centuries.
- Where was your last place of employment? What experience do you have?
While I have never been official employee of any company, I do have a decent amount of flying experience. After finishing my "Abitur" degree at the age of 19 at a school on Planet New Berlin, I decided that, rather than continuing my career at a university, I would go out and explore Sirius. Rather than studying the books, I wanted to satisfy my need of seeing new places and learn by travelling, as part of a quarter-life crisis, so you could say. I quickly became accustomed to the life of a trader, which I considered the most reasonable way of guaranteeing a good income for myself. Travelling around the galaxy costs money, after all. Relying on my math skills and thinking logic, I worked as an independent Interspace Commerce trader and managed to repeatedly upgrade my equipment and acquire bigger ships. I never became much attached to any of the places I visited, I saw myself as a restless traveller.
That, however, was years ago. Already concerned when the relations towards Rheinland worsened, I decided to leave Liberty and settle in Bretonia on Planet New London instead. Having collected a lot of experience with piloting, trading, trade calculations and piracy threats, but being sick of working alone, I wanted to take on a new kind of job and teamed up with Mr. Brown, a young BMM Miner from Leeds who remained my business partner and friend for many years. Working independently again, this time with a BMM ID, we frequently mined in the fields of Dublin, where I took on the role of a hauler, enjoying the strength and efficiency of my new transport, the majestic Shire.
Over the following time, I gathered a lot of experience in navigating the Shire and coordinating my crew, as well as admiration for the Bretonian working ethic and way of life. Even though I had already calmed my wild dreams of exploring Sirius, I never regretted my choice of leaving Rheinland. At least, until the day our convoy was attacked by a horde of ruthless Gallians as we entered the Leeds System through a jumphole. While all my attempts at negotiation with those honorless warcriminals remained futile, I watched and felt our ships being torn to shreds by the powerful gunboat cannons.
When I woke up from a coma months later on a medical station on Planet New London after my escape pod had been discovered by a passing convoy, the world offered me nothing but the harsh reality that only pieces had been found of my friends Spatial, and fate had left me as the sole survivor of the assault.
- To what division are you applying?
According to my working experience, I would like to apply to the Shipping Division. After living a few months in seclusion, still shocked by the sudden loss of everything that had been so near, I finally decided to start over and give the life out in space as a trader another try. Thanks to the huge monetary assets I had gained from my work, I was able to purchase another Shire right away.
- Why are you interested in working for Border World Exports?
I would love to offer my experience with trading and piloting the Shire to the Bowex company, and do the Bretonian nation a service in the struggle against the numerous hostile forces threatening the Bretonian peace and prosperity. Not only does Bowex fit my fascination for the Bretonian culture and the work of trading and escorting, but also would it satisfy me to know that I'm an active part in the support of the BAF and BPA in their fight against the fractions that have been trying to take everything from me and other traders for years.
Hence, I'm not opposed to the idea of supporting the ExSec division in the future as well, however, I would need an additional education for such a position, which is why I'm putting it as a lower priority for my future career, should my application be accepted.
- You happen across a Gateway convoy that is under attack by Red Hessians. What do you do and why?
I like to think of myself as someone who adapts his behavior as well as possible to the situation at hand. While I do not think highly of Gateway employees, we're all traders of one kind and I'd much rather see them win than a group of maniacs belonging to a delusional paramilitary organisation that threatens the System I was born and grew up in.
However, should I be carrying important goods for the company, I wouldn't risk the company's property for my own moral ideas, and leave the convoy alone in their violent conflict which has most likely been provoked as well on their part by refusing to comply with the aggressors' demands.
Should I be off duty, I would consider the option of helping them out in the conflict and offer them a hand, given an intervention on my part could turn the fight around. I wouldn't mindlessly sacrifice my life in a fight that is already lost.
In any case, I would contact military or police forces and advise them of the issue.
- You encounter a corporate trader of Gallic origin. It croaks mockingly at you. What do you do and why?
I would not bother with it much. While my disgust for the Gallic nation is as big as it could be, it is not and never was part of my duty to cause conflict where there is no conflict. I might at most make a sarcastic remark about my opinion of his kind, and leave him with that.
- How do you feel about Glaswegian badgers?
They should be introduced to my neighbour's pet snake.
I'm looking forward to hearing from you soon.
Yours faithfully,
Jan Peters
