Just so you know, angels have instructions to handle every call for help over PMs, as having an OOC conversation with new members of disco in local chat, while helpful, is not conducive of a role-play environment, is braking a server rule, and can clutter the local chat up.
In short, you will never 'see' an angel helping a new player, as it all happens through PMs.
Gamma is the last on the list, we expect the THREE official corsair faction to have some responsability too, there's already enough to do everywhere else, but when it's POSSIBLE some head there too. PMs are the top priority.
And yeh we know about a few rp issues there has been with some angels, it's already been fixed and what those you have mentioned are old now.
Nice quote of doom by the way.
Lobster : We help new players, like first trade run, it happened last night.

Their status is secure.
The money is used for helping new players with small amounts of funding help so they do not tire of the game and grinding behind Erie. It usually rewards people who are role-playing well, and who have improved vastly from the last time an Angel has seen them.
Edit: On an interesting note around 95% of donations have come from former or current members. For anyone reading this, please take this into account when you post.

Thanks for the answers. Just some concerns, I dont want you to think I dont appreciate the Angels and what they do. Thanks to all of you for that.

Not a problem.
People who deal with new players tend to have a shorter leash when it comes to experienced players, because they expect the experienced players to understand how The Angels works, and the stresses associated with the job, when sometimes the experienced player does not understand it.
This is a problem of communication and transparency. Hence, this thread was made.
Although, these question of your's seems to paraphrase off Akura's previous "feedback" regarding The Angels, in our message dump, which was found to be rather hostile and accusatory. I suspect that is why your questions and feedback received such a short-fused response.

Either way, I hope that is all sorted.
Have a nice day.
No worries, I know how we have a tendency to be protective of the things we put effort into.

Funny you say that 'cus I heard [Angel]-Luis deal with a guy over system chat in New York, in // sentences a couple of days ago. In fact I even PM:ed him that it was a incredibly stupid way to deal with the problem as it sends the wrong signals to everyone else not aware of OOC in system chat.
If I remember correctly the guy in question he was talking to had apparently used swearwords in system chat. Yeah, we all know that ain't okay. But that doesn't mean the Angel needs to go and lecture him over system chat and in OOC.
No, I don't have screenshots as I'm not taking them specifically to come here and whine, but now that you mention this method of helping people via PM, I felt the need to comment.

Understood.
I would like to point out that Luis is reasonably new to Angel-ing.
Either way, OOC chatter should definitely not be in system chat, unless it is an extreme emergency, which I do not think it was, and it will be sorted out so as not to happen again.
