I'm not sure whether this is the correct place to post this, but I'll do it anyway.
I saw the Charon on Freeport 4 and almost immediatly fell in love with it. Now, I'm just wondering whether it is a good ship to purchase, considering its rather weak power core, the not-so-great weaponry and the low hull. Considering the strength of other VHFs, this one doesnt seem to be worth its money.
So, can anyone who has already flown one of these tell me whether its a good investment or not?
So. Resize the model, rehitbox it, limit shield to class 9, adjust stats, and call it a day?
Wait, that does sound a bit of work actually:D

So... I bought a Charon at Freeport 4... looks nice, that's for sure. Handling is good to. But somehow, it doesn't feel... cool. Not as cool as the Raven's Talon, but that thing was copied from Star Wars.
I'd just love seeing six Charons flying in a V formation, patrolling some populated system. That would be rather sexy.
Looks like some sort of interceptor craft to me anyway. Or an escort. But no one hires any Freelancer anymore...
Charon is actually a Viper mk1, it was a great ship back in 4.83 and 4.84, but then it was way smaller then now.
It also used to be a VHF, with class 10 guns and all.
It was made a HF, increased in size (or different hitbox?) and got agility improvement.
But it's really way weaker then it was back then.
I don't keep it as my avatar for nothin':D
