Chun raked his memory for the information. Being from simple farming stock he did not know much about world politics but he gave it his best shot.
"All I know of Alvin Katz is that he stopped an uprising near my home. There was civil war and many farms were destroyed. He is a hero.
The Ontario Incident? Oh my..
He gulps, the fear and sweat visible - A wrong move here would surely kill him.
"Ontario is a system belonging to the capitalist dogs which are Liberty. Our enemy. The incident which occurred there was our Premier - The great Katz staged a successful run in the elections to try and bring socialism to Liberty. In the run up to the election he was betrayed by the navy and wounded. He had to withdraw but the people still voted for his ideals and socialism was brought to Ontario. This is all I know! Our premier is fearless and ruthless - these are the tools of war we need to destroy the corrupt houses!"
Chun feared the shame that the bullet would bring. The glory seemed so far away now
"Good boy... now then... let's see how you do on round two..." he tossed a packet of papers across the table.
Standing he guided the successful first round applicant back to the reception.
"Alicia see that this man gets a pencil... and that I get a cup of coffee... and you..." he pointed randomly. "I want you next... if you can bother scraping your knuckles off the ground long enough to actually make it into a chair!"
Commisar's finger was so lucky to choose Vera from others, so she stepped in. "My name is Vera Sydorenko, comrade commisar. I'm from planet Volgograd. I wish to enlist in ranks of our glorious military to protect our nation and ensure communism survival and development!"
The Sabre with Red Hessian IFF was parked in Trotsky's hangar bay. Vilen Helbrecht has found a recruitment office, got the number and waited for his turn.
The screen flashed with "36". It was his time.
"Tovarish Commissar, my name is Vilen Helbrecht. I have been fighting capitalism and corporations of my Vaterland for a long time, but i've realized that there is a larger war i must take part in. The goal of Coalition, as far as i understand, is a Sirius-wide communistic government, with all the mankind in this sector united forever in friendship and labour. This is why i said goodbye to my Hessian comrades who focus on Rheinland alone and arrived here in my personal fighter craft. Well, i guess, it was my personal craft until i docked here. Anyway, i would like to apply for the Coalition fighter corps membership. I am not a green recruit, i know how to pilot fighters and bombers, my family knew something about ancient history and made sure i'd know about our Sol past, hence the name, so i believe i can be useful for the glorious Coalition."
Jack Fenimore entered the hall at Trotsky. Getting to this place was a nightmare. He knew that his Crow is not in the best state but those Rogue pilots he met on his way here did not help it neither. He was in a winter coat and had a glasses. He saw the applicants in front of him so he just sat at empty chair and waited. Jack was actually glad that he can rest a bit before he is called.
Mendel stood looking at both the recruits who had entered his office at the same time.
He contemplated both of them a moment before flipping open a portfolio, "Vilen Helbrecht?" he asked, not really caring about the answer. He knew it anyway, he sifted through the dossier tossing reports out across the table. "My men have encountered you in the past, and while you may think your capable, they had a differing opinion... something to the effect of... you pilot your Odin like you are making love to a hippopotamus... While I am sure that's a feat of physical engineering... I am still not so impressed."
He reached for the gun, stopped at shrugged reaching for the packet of papers, "However your Brigadier General was kind enough to send me your performance assessments... and while they read like a two-year old's report card... stickey and lacking focus... I want to see what you can do with the application."
He threw it at Vilen Helbrecht. "Out, and don't come back till it is done!"
Turning his attention to the woman he sighed, "why are you hear and not making stroganoff for your husband on what is left of JiangXi? Your first duty as a Coalition woman is to re-population of the planet... if your that desperate to find a husband I have a few hundred men on this ship more than happy to oblige." He chuckled as he sat down. "Or are you actually here to prove you have a set and don't actually need a man at all?"
After taking a shower, and getting some new clothes, Reznov once again entered the lobby, finding more applicants that are waiting for their turn. He saw drops of blood on the floor.
"Ah..Someone pissed off the Commissar..This is not good for me..Or any of us for that matter.." whispered Reznov to himself
He continued to stand near the chairs.

"Well, I'm not ready...for recreational purposes yet. And I want to ensure my name won't be forgotten in Revolution history." - she looked a bit confused and warmed.
Milan made his mind about the question from Commissar Mendel. It took him quite some time and now he only had to wait, untill he can enter the office again to answer the question...
Vilen has returned with papers in his hands.
"Tovarish Commissar, i've filled in the application form in triplicate and i'm awaiting further orders."
He placed the papers on the commissar's desk and stood at attention.
