Update: 0300 UT:

Fellow Warriors,

We have increased the coffers of Kusari immensely this day, at the loss of only one vessel; and managed to destroy two SF vessels, a Templar, the Gryphon, and a BAF Gunboat, in the process. A total of seven runs have been completed so far. Our first run consisted of four traders, the Yuuzai_Maru, the Kobiashi Maru, and our friends, the Yoda-[T] and the Farwren. Escorts included Commander Hayase leading, with Fighters Shoki and Ito_Yamato, and Captain Sulu's gunboat, the Sokaku. We had one minor accident, when the Farwren neglected to break formation when docking at Gran Canaria. Most of his ballast of diamonds was retrieved.

Throughout the day, the Kobiashi and the Yuuzai, accompanied by the Yamamoto did most of the trader work, with the assistance of various escorts: Obsidian Reaver, Youma_Tama, Konton.Megami, Shuutan, Kijutsu, and Kitsune Hotaru all escorted at one time or another.

On the final run,The SFF Gryphon Templar was destroyed near the Edinburgh jump hole in Tau-31 when it attempted to engage the trader Yamamoto. The Yuuzai-Maru and the Gunboat Kijuuki came to Yamamoto's aid, and the agile Templar was eventually decimated and destroyed by combined fire. The Kijuuki registered the killing shot. The Kobiashi, now ahead in Dublin, warned of an SFGB gunboat in system. As the Yamamoto jumped into Dublin, the dogged SF locked on him, disrupted him, and contined to pour fire into him at thruster speed. The Yuuzai and the gunboat Kijuuki in turn poured fire into the gunboat's stern, and the SF craft was forced to use many of its repair supplies.

Ufortunately, the Yuuzai's thrusters died before the Yamamoto could be saved; and it was only later, when the Kobiashi returned from O-49, that the remaining two traders and the Kijuuki forced the gunboat to retreat towards the Battleship Hood. Big mistake for he SF. Not only did a passing corsair, the Spirit Evil, take an interest in the SF gunboat, but the Hood started firing massive volleys at the misguided SF captain as well. The gunboat was finally dispatched by the combined KNF, KNT, corsair, and IMG BS's fire.

The financial tally for the day was impressive. The loss of the Yamamoto's cargo was unfortunate, but she will be ready for action again very shortly.

I commend all who participated. The refineries at Honshu are in full production again.

KNF High Command,

Several engagements within 2hours made it a busy night. Reports as follows:

QCP Juno.Kietan
Syonan-to received intel that a QCP (Juno.Kietan) ship was inbound from Tau 31 towards Kusari. KNF Shuutan was 1st to respond and was headed to intercept in Tau 29. However, the QCP was too quick and managed to evade Shuutan's radar. Syonan-to was in Kyushu when she 1st saw a glimpse of the QCP. A pursuit ensued over 3 systems where finally the QCP was caught pirating a trader in Honshu. Syonan-to engaged the QCP and was soon backed up by Yomigae. However, due to sudden surge of solar waves, Yomigae was lost while trying to recover from it. Syonan-to kept engaging the QCP who was in a Templar class ship. Finally, the battering of a Gunboat took its toll on the QCP and he ejected. The solar waves interfered with our radar and Syonan-to could not find his ejected pod.


Helghast(G)-Thunderbo
Just after recovering from this attack, a Helghast ship was seen in system and was attacking the local police. A system wide search comprising Syonan-to, Youma_Tama, Shuutan and Kasuma took place. Soon the assailant was detected outside Planet Honshu. Youma_Tama and Syonan-to engaged. Helghast(G)-Thunderbo was in a Taiidan Bomber equipped to take down capships with double Novas. He managed to deplete Syonan-to's shields several times but never took it down totally. After a while the Helghast then turned its attention on Youma_Tama. Brave and skilled piloting by Youma_Tama ensured that he not only survived but managed to take down the hull of the Helghast ship. Support fire from Syonan-to also meant that the Helghast has little chance for survival. Helghast then decided to do a Harakiri by going on a Kamikaze run into the Syonan-to. That could only have 1 outcome. As he din eject, no escape pod was found.

Heikiko Maru our armory was awaiting new supplies by BS Nagumo when she was attacked upon by [S0H]Horus5| (a GC tagged Rogue Gunboat). Fortunately several civilian vessels were in system to assists her while the Syonan-to and Shuutan were enroute from Honshu. Upon reaching, Syonan-to and Shuutan engaged the GC ship and soon enough the GC GB succumbed to Shuutan's brilliant flying and shooting.


All in all a good day for KNF

After graduating from flight school I have been blessed with the Honour flying along the ever lasting and legendary Kusari Naval Forces. I'll tell you a little bit about myself. When I was a young boy, my father was slain by the Blood Dragons. My mother suffered greatly from our loss, because she took it so hard she fell ill and eventually died. My brother I do not dare even speak his name left me and went along the Blood Dragon ranks. Some day I do hope to find and kill him, although I am motivated by Revenge I won't hide this. My purpose in life is to avenge those whom I have loss and correct the rights of my brother, don't let my intention let you believe me to be a harsh person I am far from it. I have worked hard and long to get where I am today hopefully I will be able to prove that to my superior officers.

Encountered a rogue GC pilot in Kyushu today. Went by the name of 'anna'.

This pilot did not recognise the ceasefire, and after contacting the Bushido I found they did not recognise her.

Anna failed to leave the system when asked, battle ensued. It took some time, but with patience and discipline I wore down the enemy.

Yesterday Deuterium Convoy was attacked by SF forces While holding position at Holman Outpost to meet up with our hired escort.
The Yamamoto had to dock immediately at Holman due to communications flooding which resulted in an internal systems failure.
Our hired escort and our valiant warriors fought with honor but I'm afraid to say they was destroyed one by one.
Constable_Hill was the first casualty. Hit by direct enemy fire he ejected in time.
The Shumushu was destroyed after an escape attempt, Ryuzaki was hit by BlueBelly gun and forced to eject.
Unstoppable BlueBelly store another win, now was the time of Ruff_McFearson hit by BlueBelly gun.
Mustang was then the last standing and was destroyed after some minutes by Beta5.
The Akuto.Usagi somehow managed to escape from the fight and was the only one who was able to bring deuterium back without escorts.

Some time later after the convoy attack, the same SF vessels entered in Kyushu from Tau-29 and engaged KNF forces guarding the gate.
The destroyer Miyazaki was under heavy fire, I was engaged by enemy fighter and I failed to protect her from the bomber.
Miyazaki was lost and I'm lucky to be still alive in my escape pod as my ship detonated in a nova cannon explosion taken from the back.
Battleship Nagumo was badly damaged by the assault, casualties in the crew are being replaced and our engeneer squad is already in place for repairs.
I advise to enforce guards at that gate to be sure it will not happen again.

FINAL TRANSMISSION OF LT. DANIERU

On solo patrol in Honshu, I encountered the known criminal 'Thomas.East'. I called him away from the trade lanes to engage in honourable single combat. The miscreant duly obliged. I allowed time for local traffic to disengage from the fight, however the enraged local ships could not be dissuaded.

What followed was surely the longest and most arduous fight of my life. The enemy had the benefit of superior craft and ordanance, time and again shield and hull sustained a terrible battering. It was by the skills taught to me by my sensei and KNF collegues I fought back, wearing down my opponent over a period of more than two and a half hours.

Indeed my combat skills gave me an edge, and despite my own damage the enemy was within an inch of his life.

But alas! I could not maintain control of my power systems and lost all but two guns. From this point I could not hope to wear down the enemy defences in a timely manner. My heart sank as I knew defeat was inevitable.


To Admiral Sulu and my colleagues of the KNF. I apologise most sincerely for my defeat. I have disgraced the Emporer and my ancestors. I only hope by fighting until the bitter end I can set an example for other KNF to follow - never to run from battle, to show honour and discipline until the very end.


I pray that a rescue team will find my capsule, though perhaps it is better if the Sun claims me instead...
