** SUBJECT : Main Fleet Approval **
Morning Admiral i dont think we have had the pleasure of meeting in person. Please forgive the nature of the aplication but leaving the Dublin system and the ship right at this time would not be prudent, piracy runs thick and my ship and her crew is working flat out to stem the tide.
As you will know when you pull my file admiral i have been in the reserves for some time now and recently have been made stand in captain of the Revenge while Commander Willard is out of action. The position is one i revere but my true aim is to better myself and my crew which i am afraid cannot be done in the reserves, resources are low and there is only so much i can do within the reserve infrastructure.
I believe recruitment into the main fleet requires more information than a reseve file currently holds so i will update you with the relevant information.

Personal Bio:
Born in manchester to Hayley and Bryan Clark life was good, Father is ex BAF so flying is in the blood i suppose.
I learned my trade as a young boy racing startrackers around sheffield station area with my boyhood friends. This lead me to become a race pilot which i was very successful at for a number of years, even winning a few trophies along the way.
But it seemed even that thrill was not enough and eventually i followed my father into the BAF and enlisted with the reserves. After passing the academy with honours i was drafted into bomber command and posted to London to complete my basic training.
First real commision came when asked to patrol Manchester due to the large numbers of "gank" attacks on traders on route to liberty from bretonia space. This was again sadly not enough for me so i asked for a posting in Dublin which i knew to be a much more vibrant and active system.
Have been in Dublin ever since working hard to ensure the flow of gold from BMM doesnt dry up. And keeping our borders safe from pretty much everything sirius has to offer.
Recently Commander Willard was taken ill and the commision was passed to me to fill in as the captain of the Revenge a post i enjoy but dont think im ready for just yet.
Well Admiral i will leave the decision up to you and your aids and bid you good day sir
A tall skinny man with pale skin stained with black oil walks into the recruitment office purposefully, he wears strange leather clothes with an armless longcoat over the lot, cogs and wheels tattooed all over his exposed arms, a pair of welding goggles slung round his neck, he couldn't have been a day over 21...
"this where I sign up for her majesties armed forces right?"
"that's right" says the recruitment officer taking in this strange individual before him.
"ah well then, I wish do do my part for queen and country sir!" he says enthusiastically.
"and would that be flying for her as well? are you a skilled pilot?"
"ah why yes brother! I-I mean sir! in the blood see!"
"very well then, and your previous profession?"
"ah well, you see, my dad and me, well the family are self employed, so to speak, we come from dundee, we've all worked in my dads company, we make stuff!"
"stuff?" the recruitment officer looks a bit worried, guessing at this lads sanity as he asks...
"oh, yeah, well we get all kinds of contracts to build almost anything out of all manner of metals! I specialized in engine components and guidance systems! we last built a mining ship that could mine the inside of large asteroids in the borderworlds..."
"ok, ok very good" the officer cuts in "So, why do you want to join her majesties armed forces exactly?"
"I feel i am needed most in Dublin sir, my brother's there and all, he's a miner, and I worry about him! he's younger than myself... and I hate those pirate scum!" The lad became a bit out of control. "sorry, I understand if you wish to post me else where... or on other duties..." he calms trailing off
"I like to call them 'unlawful's' myself, I understand, well it's not up to me you see, here is a form to fill out, and I wish you the best of luck young man"
"Why thank you sir! I hope I'm the man for the job, it would make my father very proud! and it's in the blood see! we can fix almost anything and I would like to think I can fix some trouble in bretonia!"

From: Ensign Ian Sinclair
Subject: Main Fleet Application
Greetings Admiral
My name is Ian Sinclair, I am currently an Ensign in the reserve fleet stationed aboard the Norfolk in Cambridge. Though I have greatly enjoyed my time in the reserve, and appreciate the experience it has given me, I have decided to submit an application to join the main fleet.
I joined the Armed Forces a little after the Kusari attack on Tau 31. At the time of the assault I was under contract with Gateway Interstellar shipping supplies to the terraforming project on Planet Harris. Long story short, I lost my ship and some of my closest friends to the KNF - and I realised I had to do what I could to help Bretonia. Though my lack of combat experience landed me in the reserve, I have since learnt how to handle myself in a firefight and am confident I could be an asset to the main fleet of the Armed Forces, wherever I may be needed.
Thankyou for your time, and I appreciate your consideration of my application. *salutes*
"How do I look Darling?" The two men were passing the military recruitment centre. "You know that I'm the keynote speaker tonight."
"You look fine sir." Darling mumbled those words while glancing briefly at the Armed Forces recruitment poster as they passed by.
The poster was astonishing. The people on it looked heroic. They looked happy. And suddenly everything became clear for young Kevin Darling.
He suddenly stopped, dropped his briefcase on the pavement and looked at his CEO. "Give 'em hell tonight sir. Farewell." The young assistant gave the baffled CEO a pat on the shoulders and walked away.
Five minutes later at the recruitment centre a young man with fierceness in his eyes walks in.
"Good day, people call me Darling. I hear Bretonia needs pilots."
Made a note in my diary on the way here. Simply says:
"Bugger."
