People say they're leaving the server, never to return. But they come back again and again. Its called getting frustrated. Best remedy is to take a break and play another game for a while. I've taken like half a dozen "breaks" from this server and keep coming back. I've made my share of enemies. But after a while there's new people and the thorns in your side eventually go away. Rules, like laws, are modified as time goes by. Some get better and some go away entirely. In this update alone (4.86) we got to see some changes to the rules as a result of some creative scripting, like when you have a bad tech combination for your ID. That change is awesome.
The players online have rarely if ever dip below about 50 on any given day (with exception of server restarts/crashes). Weekends are busiest and hardest to get online since the player activity is at the max of over 200. I'm sure if we were able to get the server limit higher, we'd have even more activity.
Bottom line, this server attracts people. Sometimes we get the overly zealous types that wanna just blow stuff up. This being a role play server, rules have to exist and be enforced.
We'll be seeing more of the original poster here. If he thought this place was dieing, he wouldn't be here.
Rules are very fine...;)
ZOI are fine...(i dont want to see Outcasts with caps raiding New York or LN in Galia:crazy:...that would be damn oorp and what i know...this server is RP)
My friends are happy to play this game. :nyam:
New players are good and fine..and new and new are coming..disco wont die so soon.:rtfm:
I dont see any problem...
Unlike me I try to log in with the lowest player count i can find in my timezone to trade peacefully. Lowest I was in is 80's and that it is at night mostly. Daily gaming hitting 160 - 214. Not logging in to trade, but to smack talk and pvp.:P

This. I started here in 2006, joined forum 2007, and seen tons of lads claiming Disco is dead or soon will be. As long as it has 50+ players it will not die, and that attracts more players. Also just saying 50 is the average low point on disco. During peak times it hits 200 easy.

Well this is 5:00AM in north america central time. Where i am sure a large part of the player base is from. Go 12 hours to say right now. Just checked, and server count is: 160/225 and it is not peak time yet.
Now i will admit there are some things that could use a bit of tweaking IMO. But ZOI is not 1 of them. Makes no sense for Corsairs to be in Liberty, or a rhienland dread to goto Crete and so on. It would be OORP, and a gank fest.
As for banning for speaking your mind? Nah your good. Take it from me. If speaking your mind got you banned? I would be long gone. I am sure many here would agree:unsure:
When Disco does die forever, it will come as a sudden, unavoidable shock. There will be no slow death from ::insert your favorite pet peeve here::
As was said time & again, people have been preaching apocalyptic doom & gloom since before most of us even arrived here...but now, somehow magically, this time it's different than all the other times before. All those other people simply didn't know then what we know now They were just idiots for not seeing it like wedo
We know better. We have reinvented the wheel so that, you know...it's more rounded We can take everything that was said before & say it again, but this time, with the overbearing power of the present on our side.
I mean sure, they had the overbearing present on their side at the time (& I'm sure it was pretty overbearingly intimidating to those that tended to be intimidated by the overbearingness of the present tense) but not us. Nosir. Not this time. We've been snookered by that sort of thing before & we ain't gonna fall for the old 'Back in the Day' trick:nono:
Disco is dying & this time, it's serious. & it's obvious that it is because of ::insert your favorite pet peeve here::
Disco ain't dying?
You (yes you) are a complete idiot if you think it ain't...right now, as we type & read at this verymoment
