Reading about the idea of "multi-colored thrusters" I would really like to see the /pimpship-command one can use at shipyards and selected places to affect a wider area of modifications on a ship.
For instance, it might be possible to change the engine effect to a more suitable color (let's say that there are certain elements that are now burned to create the desired look) or the hull texture which may be altered to another one (for example, changing the hull plates of a civilian transport from Civilian to Rheinlandish OR changing the color (like the yellow tint you can see on the civilian transports!); and I don't mean engine grill or weapon slot textures, they should stay the same).
Of course, the latter can be restricted to a certain amount of textures, so that no Sirian will fly a nomad-textured ship;)
Oh, and speaking of pimpship, why not add some more colours to it? It doesn't have to be the whole rainbow, but a bit more variety would be nice (or at least make every colour and style equally available like a slow-flashing purple and such)!
This is something I could do if no one has the time for it:)
Edit Added:
I've edited the hull texture request a bit.
i was looking for Shattered World 1.5 how it is and what i like or not. Maybe good to get some ideas.
Many very beautiful BS and the most beautiful sound and system i have ever seen. The system looks smooth and not steped. Some glow and shining on space stations and a pretty nice hud with completely new commodity icons.
The best was the mining. Not able to mine ore without using a miner, because you need to mine a very strong laser to break the huge raw material rocks and the mining ships are extremely huge and expensive.
The other good feature was that you cant get stuck on any base or station. Its starting and undocking from station in space and looks like a pushback with airliner.
This in combination with the pretty good balanced roleplay discovery mod would be the mod of the century
Btw, the system of sirius will be always the best in discovery. I said it, well balanced :)
Cheers

Please make a dynamic interaction with the game. This is then game flow can be changed by the players who play it. I believe this is the future of online games.
This include ability to conquer bases, disabling docking of planets, disabling stationary BS's, could be for a certain period of time (let's say 24 hours), stations could be till recaptured back. Guard systems can't be conquered.
A dynamic economy also would be good. By example: if a lot of gold ore is imported to Munch it's selling price is dropped, a lot of mining drop gains and so on...
Some quest missions also would be good, like a few players need to associate to be able to complete it. And get interesting rewards, some unique technology by example.
Let it be an age when players can contribute to the flow of global wars. All RP-ed of cause.
I believe that improved gameplay means much more then new systems/ships/weapons for the how exiting is the game.

How would you explain inRP the Liberty Navy conquering Buffalo?

This game is some 7 years old, which means it's somewhat ancient in terms of graphics etc. compared to what is possible today, and Freelancer is only 40% of what we SHOULD have played ... The full 100% game was planned to be dynamic and interactive (take a look here and keep on reading to the end!) but as that is not the case, it's quite hard to re-introduce this concept into an engine which won't allow you to do so!

Yeah, finally we all can nail down those rookie lolwuts starting on Planet Erie!:crazy:

I really would like to see the faces of all those gold ore miners when the last piece of their precious mineral is exhausted in Dublin :D

"Sir, we've finally managed to pulverize all rocks in that nebula, allowing us to set an end to the pirate scum in Buffalo" ... or something like that

in fact I was thinking about war between main houses (I mean conquering). But I believe this one can be RP-ed too
"In a recent battle between rogues and police on one of the ships a special device was used. It shot a tracking
device that sticked to a rogue ship. Then police ships stopped pursuit, and let only a group of small scouts to follow undetected from distance. Then rogue ships docked at their station scouts engaged cloaking devices and came really close to the base and got intel about exact position, layout, defense structure, and surrounding environment of base.
Then a demand to the secondary Navy fleet was sent with all the documents, plans and info. Admiral dispatched a wing of bombers that made a precise surgical strike on rogue base, disabling it's main operational structures. It may take up to 24 hours till rogues will be able to repair that damage. Unfortunately because of war with Rheinland getting hot Navy won't be able to send any more strikes till next week."
Imagine a grand strike on all pirate bases in a house - what a blessing for traders for 24 hours. The same for pirates disabling border stations (but for a shorter time) so traders won't be able to run.

I think some simple things could be done. By example I have seen on Discovery of Discovery how big battleships managed to disable Norfolk docking ports. It's posible then

some exceptions could be made of cause

yeah I would enjoy to see their faces too lol:D
Dublin have many asteroid fields. It can be RP-ed too
"After gold ore resource field in sector h4 exhausted Bretonian government sent an exploration vessel and after 24 hours of searching it found another field rich in ore in sector xx"
Dynamic economy will make traders to look for alternate routes and use their heads instead if silly: go from point A to B, then from B to A.
Come on guys imagine a situation: A Rheinland fleet entered New York system and took control other the system damaging Detroit Munitions, West Point, And Fort Bush stations. On Norfolk they landed marines that took control other the station. Now they are able to build they ships right on enemy territory. After them followed a convoy of Dauman and Kruger transports that looted all they was able from Detroit Munitions. The main Navy fleet retreated to Alaska regrouping and waiting the second fleet from Quebec and Police reserve forces from Illinois to converge in New York, and blow to pieces Rheinland armada.
At least the ability of temporary disabling stations/warships should be good.
Economy changes could be event based. Like "because of a recent ion storm (or rha attack) diamonds production in Dresden rised by xx%. It's expected to last for yy hours."
It should be also posted in news boards. Or if it's too hard to do screw the economy changes, and make the war changes only possible.
This great universe is absolutely static and something is happening only then a new mod is released. Let's make the dream of creator of this game a bit closer.
P.S. Make NPC in houses stronger and smarter (they should retreat instead of useless engaging a player they can't even scratch), but we should meet em less often. NPC's in Pennsylvania may remain at the strength they are. As for now they are only irritating and don't play any role in game.
