Im working on a game, as some of you might have known. Its called Free-Flight: Infinity. Im pretty close to releasing a beta version of it. It doesnt have much progress done tho.
(If you find any mistake in my English, please let me know via a PM)
(Really, I speak terrible English, so please, tell me if I make mistakes. I'd like to improve it a bit )
Its a space RPG similar to freelancer. Its not 3d, its top down. the game is similar to FL though. You can choose what ship to fly, what weapons, and its open ended.
Well then it's probably similar to Star Control series I suppose. Top down view, ships and such. I would like to know what control scheme do you use? Keyboard + mouse? Relative or absolute aiming? Or both?
Asking mostly because I like SC a lot, and something similar would be very interesting to play.
There is also Starscape and it has some very interesting ideas like base management, research and etc., despite it being 2D arcade shooter mostly.
Oh come on! 3D isn't the pinnacle of all. 2D has a lot of goodness to offer still. I'd go as far saying that 2D offers more stylistic possibilities rather than 3D.
