Dimitry came back in the waiting room. The manifest was at his side. He looked like he hadn't slept the night. Pasha didn't even show that he noticed him coming here again. Dimitry raised an eyebrow while looking at the now really crowded room. "Hum, zhat could take a vhile zhis time", he said to himself. He took seat on a free chair and opened the little book again. Luckily he had a good literature with him while he was waiting.
Mendel straightened up as he looked at each of them.
"In a few moments a Coalition Officer will come and take each of you off towards separate interviews. Remember what I talked about here, think smart, act smart... don't give them a reason to shoot you... and by that I mean, don't give them a reason to doubt your sincerity. Good luck."
With that Mendel stood up and walked back into his office, closing the door behind him.
Provost Marshal Col. Vicenta Gonzalez stepped out into the waiting room and surveyed the applicants. "You," she said, pointing to Swatch as he babbled excitedly about his ideals to a pot plant. "Come with me."
A few new faces walked into the room as Koos sat listening to all those around him answer the commissar's prompt. He thought all gave decent answers. What a fine group of candidates.
Before long, a man in full coalition military garb marched into the room. "This must be a coalition recruitment officer here to check us out" Koos figured. Sure enough, the commissar explained that each will have a private interview to determine their worthiness. We mustn't fail to impress, as the pain from Koos' plasma scars left by his exploding computer terminal attested. The commissar, after issuing some last words of advice about how not to get shot, got up and retreated to his office.
Then the officer pointed to a young boy that had walked in and had poured himself some coffee. Koos hadn't even noticed him given his diminutive stature and soft Rheinlandish voice. The officer beckoned him over and with that the interviews began.
So true is it that unnatural generally means only uncustomary, and that everything which is usual appears natural.
[font=Franklin Gothic Medium]Sergei stood up against the wall and waited while one of the candidates went out with the Coalition officer. He was a bit excited, he didn't expected so many people are already in the office.
[color=#FFFF00]"That's right, I can wait." He smiled.
He was a bit happy to know that he's not alone. The Words of Truth seems to be spreading across the stars and people were getting them into their hearts like Sergey did.
Ben Warner sighed in mild annoyance as he entered the Recruiting Offices, Mendel had called him to help out since his hands were full. His uniform had the armpatch of the CPW Lithuania, showing he was part of it's crew, his Peaked Cap rested on his head, covering most of his brown hair as he looked around the waiting room, his Spectacle-covered eyes looking over each applicant as they waited. A small frown on his face as he wondered 'Is this the future of the Coalition Fighter corps?!' to himself.
Shaking his head slightly to clear such thoughts he called out in a calm and even voice while pointing directly at Yuri.
"You, follow me." he ordered coldly before heading past him and down the hall until he got to one of the unused offices, opening the door and looking around he noted how sparse it was, two wooden chairs, a metal desk and not much else.
Tilting his head slightly in the direction of the room he looked at Yuri who was following.
A young Chinese man entered the waiting room filled with recruits. Ling sighed, he could smell their fear.. and.. yes.. disgusting as always - He smelt their urine. It had not been long since Ling was here himself as a fresh faced recruit. Now it was his turn to be the Interviewer.
"Antonio Rivera, come with me."
Ling walked briskly down the corridor towards a small room, with the recruit behind him and two marine guards behind the recruit. They reached a small room with an iron door, inside there were two chairs with a table separating them.
"Sit."
Rivera sat down. Ling motioned to the two guards to stand at the door and lock Ling and the recruit in the room. Ling took off his leather gloves and removed his Jian from it's sheath.
"Do you know how many enemies of the Coalition have died by this blade? Do you want to be the next? Mendel has sent me here to find out more about you, his instincts led him to believe you are a spy. So, give me a reason why I shouldn't gut you like a fish?"
