A voice could be heard on Dave's portable Cerberus XtraNet pad, the voice of Jack Aubrey, that previously left the dinner due to severe injuries after the battle of Omicron 92.
Dave, well. I have bad news. Seems like someone put a bounty on my head, and it is better if I lay down for a while. You'll find me on Planet Gran Canaria, you know where pal. You are hereby in charge of Cerberus for time being. This is all.
The communication immediately ceased, with a long static sound that went on until Dave closed his pad.
"I'm not going to cook you into stew Dave. Relax." She giggled. "Why so uptight? Your doing fine so far. And that wasnt unpleasant. Unpleasant is when you get shot at by tge Navy for no reason, then kicked out of Liberty for being Jeremy's sister." She giggles. "And forming complete sentences isa good thing."
Dave was releaved when he heard what Ellie said to him and was amused of her statements regarding the Navy.
"Oh hahaa... indeed, Navy suffers from the great "Liberty paranoia" syndrome as I call it, and why uptight.. well... I never talked to a beautiful women like you from almost 9 years... *he then looked a bit upset* .. since .. well *he took Ellie's hand* ... I've lost...
But the moment was disturbed by the HoloComm's transmission, apparently was Jack. When he heard what he had to say to Dave, regarding his severe injuries and the huge bounty on his head, he knew that he will go for good almost... and he will be difficult to trace, but Dave knew where to find him. He was rather shocked, and when the transmission ended.. he dropped the device on the sofa... and looked at Ellie with a serious look, he took the necklace and he watched for some seconds the shiny "CERBERUS" insignia, then moved his look again to Morrigan and Michal... the he returned to Ellie.
"I guess... here it all starts..."
He stood and looked into her eyes, then he continued...
"It's very incredible how this moment arrived when you gave me the necklace... like I need to have this emblem to show that I now lead a great and powerful faction... I am unique among the others... I think its more powerful than I can even imagine."
He then looked to Ellie with a glare of trust and with a beautiful smile...

"I just meant it as a gift, one as unique as the one you gave me." Her smile became a bit stronger. "Sounds like You're the head honcho of Cerberus now. Dont run it into the ground, got it?" Ellie smiles at him michevoisly.
"Indeed I will need to be very carefully, but since I have the best men in the organization, I don't think It will happen something bad. And regarding the gift, "small things can be part of greater causes", but a small thing like this is very pretious to me."
Dave smiled again with his neverendless charm...
