Newsflash. It's not a fighter. It doesn't do well in roid fields. It's not intended to do well in roidfields. Keep them in the lanes, or in asteroid exclusion zones. Capital ship battles are geared towards open space.
[Edit] Or get a nimble destroyer if you're that desperate to do capital ship activity in roidfields. The Storta isn't half bad in terms of maneuvering.

Better yet (if its doable) do away with static asteroids. One of Newton's pesky little laws says that an object in motion will remain in motion until acted on by another force. So if the asteroid the size of a fighter gun isnt pushed aside... it must have some dimensional space location anchoring whatchamacallit. Or make asteroids destructable. No need to make a path if people can fly and make their own.
But alternativley as already mentioned, paths would be nice. No caps shouldnt go through asteroid fields on a regular basis... but when the only way to get out of a system that sells your caps (Say on Corsica for instance) is through an asteroid field... I dunno, my two cents I suppose.

Not quite. I learnt myself how to get through roid field without the need to type /stuck too much (or at all), even on Valor in T31.
But those liiiitle asteroids are still damn annoying. And break immersion. As, like, it's harder to get through field that consists of small sized asteroids, then through the one with large-sized ones. And the smaller they are, the more the headache.
But I doubt anything can be done bout this, without increasing server lag =\
EDIT: Forgot to tell. I don't own Ranseur or Legate, and my Mako now holds a huge advantage against them in a dense asteroid field, as any other light bs. (unless it's Kappa or another weird asteroid field).

Or, more likely, how much ossies, Jormuns, Makos and other small-sized bs'es would need to get nerfed to pay off for their invulnerability against heavy battleships (Turtles, Legates, Nephilims and so on) in asteroid fields ? How will sairs move their Legates out of Omicron Gamma? (although, that can be solved by creating passages through roid fields, but doesn't solve balance problem of big vs small)

Imo, giving balance team more headache then they have by inserting another factor into the game wouldn't be wise:)

Dude dude dude dude.... What's the so important with the Ranseur then?! Every system surrounding Alpha is a ''roid'' system and that's extremely annoying. Atleast, make a clear way in ''roid'' fields with some buoys so its possible to go thru without a '>:O' face. Get back the old system in disco5 pl0x. I miss when the ''roids'' used to go thru' the ships...

Do not buy a Ranseur. There are already to many.
Also seen in another mod where asteroids were destroyable. Even the bad lands. But this also lags the server i heard.
Want a good cap in roids? Get LSC it "rocks"
