Mining doesn't define the mod & it never has. Yes, there will probably be substantial return to a mass migration to powertrading in lieu of powermining, but personally, I like learning this bit 'o info right here
The mining mod was one of the better parts of the mod/server.
Removing it will only spread the idiocy about, and will do nothing to get rid of it. If you want to spread the idiocy out, and make it less concentrated, might I suggest creating more mining spots, just as profitable as o7/t23, so that there is more than 2 places to mine. As if the nubs are spread accross several different mining spots, the level of integration with more experienced players will be higher, and as such the level of idiocy will be lower.

Just asking because mining helium in the cloud in Pennsylvania is almost vital for new peeps starting out.
