' Wrote:You haven't had scrap for three days. That blows. It'll come back. Maybe.
In the meantime it sounds like you guys could use a little shake out of the bubble you've made for yourself. Junkers without the scrap mod are dead in the water? Please. The Congress was formed long before the mining mod was activated and were doing just fine.
Says one of the Reavers responsible for hunting our ships... we need to be shaken out of our bubble?
No one is questioning when the Congress was formed. Still do you know what was in the game when the Congress was formed? Scrap metal.
' Wrote:Maybe it's time for you to adapt a bit. Maybe you could embrace that there's a facet or two to your existance beyond sitting at a dock point in a salvager shooting tin cans which you haul to Invarness. From the way you describe the Junkers maybe the scrap system was a mistake.
So leave it off.. what do I care.. the system isn't the concern.
' Wrote:So you don't want to haul anything illegal because you're scared you might get caught, or that the mean 'ol BHG is looking for a way to be a bunch of pvpwhores. So then talk to the unlawfuls of Sirius. Get some shipping orders together. Move some supplies to their bases. Talk to people. Rat out unlawfuls to the cops. Rat out the cops to the unlawfuls. Embrace being the sneaky Zoners of the core.
Mining factions have been delt a serious blow, the GMS was based on group mining in a hostile environment. The Junkers were given scrap because I thought it would be a cool addition to their already hefty set of attributes. I would never have done anything of the kind if I thought it would result in the memberbase abandoning everything that makes Junkers cool to become a bunch of insulated rock bashers who scream and hiss everytime their bubble is imposed upon.
The Junkers were given scrap back when the game was created. Your mining mod again is not the issue.
' Wrote:Is that a serious suggestion? As far as I'm aware, SCRA want to kill us on sight for being cardi smugglers and supporters of the Outcasts. Even when that isn't what we're doing at the time. I haven't had a single encounter with them that contained the slightest bit of friendliness.
And, yet, at the same time I'm writing a post right now from the perspective of my IND at our corporate headquarters in 52. Because we found something they needed which made us worth more than shooting us.
' Wrote:And who are you to not be affected by the decision the admin team took? Are you above the mining factions or the players who did nothing wrong too? No.
It's not about Scrap being not mineable anymore, it's about the commodity having vanished.
Those Miners are still able to haul Gold, Silver, Copper, Boron etc etc.
Just now Junkers can't be seen doing the stuff that legalises them in house space: cleaning stuff up, hauling scrap.

If i got it right, Scrap still was buyable and therefore tradeable then?
I assume bumping this Thread will only lead to a lock.
Remember the Hessian-IMG repninja? http://discoverygc.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=88266
I haven't logged on my RHA since some time, but if i recall it correctly, we got no admin response since two months.

ah, right, so it's not all about the rp it would seem. Junkers didn't move scrap till the mining mod came out, for all the talk about wanting scrap back, if it came back at it's Pre mining mod prices, no Junkers would haul it. So much for only doing it for the rp.

It's actually about making it feasible to RP hauling it. If it sells for nothing, why would anyone clean up the scrap. It's a job, for people to do jobs they need to be paid. Pure common sense Zelot.
Zelot, put every single commodity down to the price of the pre-mining mod scrap. Lets all RP.

If you choose to bring it back and make it worthless we can rp that... If you choose to bring it back and make it worth something for us to move again.. were back in business. Either way having it back is the point.
Of course you take one thing that another Junker says and use it to shoot us down. This is not surprising.

That's what Zelot does. Anyway, I do not know what their problem is with us making some credits off of scrap. We need to make credits to play the game and it also created good RP. What is the problem here? They creating a problem where none existed within Congress Junkers or Junker Indies. They seem to be on the defensive rather than sorting out the issue.
Would it make the admins or moderators feel any better if they checked every single one of my accounts and found I have NO Battleships or Cruisers?! Would that make them take note that this is about RP and making it feasible for us to haul the stuff around?
