Mal to Mr. O:

Wine.. wine.. where did I put that chardonnay?

Oh, right, Reggie took it down to the Veranda..

Something about Wings and Things.

It's usually Julips down there,

Sapphire 'n Tonic over here.

Grumble grumble.. oh, here it is!

Lightfoot left us a gallon of Red Mountain!

We're in business!

Mal

Waverly to Malaclypse:

Curiouser and Curiouser, old friend.

While returning to the Veranda this evening, I had a rather cryptic visit from a Junker lad.

the {JM}-Mantrid hailed me whilst making the last leg from Lanzarote, and informed me he had a message from their King. Something about ensuring "good relations" with their mob...

I hurriedly docked and emptied my hold, prepared for possible subterfuge, and lifted again to meet this "emmisary". The Mantrid proceeded to transfer 5 Tons of Flax to the Oro!

I hadn't the heart to tell the lad that we have "good relations" with pretty much everyone as a matter of policy. The Flax will be transferred to your Baffin fund at first opportunity.

You tell me, Mal. What do we make of this, other than "Five Tons of Flax"! Har!

Skidoodles,
Reggie

Eddie to Mal,

I saw the gang tonight. Silvia, Sophie, and Oro de Whacked boi. Lead me to baffin and I saw the new spiel. It's gonna take a few more tons of flax to make that spot ready 'fore we throw up the welcome pad.

I'm on the FP6 spiking the tourist punch bowl. Catch you wild 'yotes round that bend.

Out of hibernation. Gauging the winds.

Reggie to Eddie:

"Boi"?

Moi?

As I have told several of our "chronologically challenged" TAZers in the past,

I probably have underwear older than you are.

Save me some of that punch, P.

Reg

Malaclypse to all TAZers:

OK, keeds, how's the old man doin'?

Discordia has already opined that I'm "off my bloody head" for doing this Council thingie.

If I am, let me know.

If I'm not, then where do we as the TAZ need to focus next. I made the last motion, so someone else should probably bring up the next item for chewing to death.

Keep me posted here on your druthers, eh?

Oh, and you wouldn't believe how much bloody lint I picked out of my navel while all that lolligagging went on!

Mal to Sophie:

Those were damn fine Pies at the Cafe tonight, girl! I hope the Pegasus and those other LC boys got a piece or two! My compliments to Siggy!

Set a few up for the other TAZ lads on me.

They can buy their own bloody Oro Dark Roast, though. They put it away by the gallon.

Oh, and Brother Graylen sends his regards for the helpful tips on Zoner etiquette today. He's happy as a bearded clam.

I saw you let Puddles off to go play roulette with his Rep sheet. Wonder how that went? Har! Cortana is probably fit to be tied by now.

Tell Reggie he can put that chardonnay back in the cellar. I think the lady he wants drinks double malt with a Guinness chaser.

I'll be off to Baffin again in the morning. Hiram wants to go over plans for the umpteenth time.

Keep those Pies coming!
Mal

Message to: Captain, Trading Vessel Silvermist
CC: Madam Jinx
CC: Codename Chardonnay
Comm ID: Malaclypse for the TAZ

(Message sent re: Outcast Destroyer =HUZZAREX=)

Quote:Captain,

As I dont' know your name, I'll address you by your title.

The TAZ does indeed try to keep an orderly neighborhood around Gran Canaria. From the description I received, this incident would seem to fall into that category. the name of the offending vessel has been duly noted.

We currently have no warships in the TAZ capable of dealing with a miscreant such as has been described. However, we do have cash and resources. Those resources will be called upon.

Please continue to report any unpleasantries in the vicinity of Gran Canaria. In the meantime, we will do our best to keep a watchful eye out ourselves, and to expend the necessary funds to "clean up" as required.

Thank you,
Mal

Addendum to all TAZ: Gents and globes, it occurs to me that pirating in a Destroyer is a Sector-wide violation. Unfortunately, the message I received regarding this incident did not include any blackbox documentation. I will be contacting the cleaners over private comms. Until then, report any sightings of the whereabouts of this "Huzzarex" tosser, as well as any other suspicious critters in any of our TAZ's.

This will not stand,
Mal

Roger that. I'll keep my ugly mug plastered to the console if I see this sod hovering in 49. Evidence would shut the door on this buggermugger.

Message to: All TAZ
Comm ID: Malaclypse

I'm happy to announce that Independent Brother Grayson Burrows is now offering his services as an escort for any TAZ traders who feel the need for a little "Chao Fu" along their dangerous routes.

Grayson's Stinger is nicely equiped for the odd encounter, and his rates are reasonable: A mere 5% of net for uneventful trips, and a paltry 1 Million per kill if he has to unlimber his guns atall, atall.

You'll find Brother Grayson hanging out at Sophie's Cafe for the most part. He seems to have developed a taste for her delicious pies!

23's,
Mal

Woohoo! Girls rule!

DW-Suzanne and I took down that stinky pirate =HUZAREX= in 0-47 today! Made me all verklemmt!!

I was just gettin' ready to take some gold over to Monkey Town, when I noticed that this pooter was hanging out in 0-47. I decided to set up a picket on the 49 side of the hole, just in case he came calling.

About then, a Zoner-ID'd trader, the Teamster, came into scanner range. I warned him about potential trouble in 47, and we decided to team up for the trip across. We made an uneventful jump into 47; but a few moments later, and Epigoni Outcast named Nazario Audaz showed on our HUDs. He seemed unsure what to do with the two of us, and we took the opportunity to scoot for the O-41 jump hole. We chatted some, and he decided that we were indeed Zoners.

As we approached the 41 hole, the =HUZAREX= popped up. Teamster continued into 41, and ol' Naz and I decided to investigate Huzarex a bit. Well, we found him. Outcast Destroyer, Pirate ID, and Bundschuh tagged. We hailed him numerous times, but he refused to answer, and pretty much ignored us both. The odd thing was, he was shootin' up local Hessian patrols south of the BS Fes. Aren't the Bundschuh and the Hessians allies??

I finally told ol' Naz about the 30 Mil bounty on this silent pooter; and we were both scratchin' our heads.. (well, i was scratchin' my globe..), wonderin' if his gunboat and my Kushan Freighter were enough to do the job on this guy. All the time we're hailin' and talkin', Huzarex is magically switching his reppie from Bundschuh to Kruger and back again. Never seen the likes. The pirate finally moved off and docked at the Battleship Fes.

Well, Huzarex undocked, and Naz decides 30 Mil sounds good.. So he starts to plink at him. I blow all my energy and some nukes on a couple of runs as well, and the guy just sort of ignores us still. Then, his shields really start to goin' down, and lo and behold, it's Suzanna givin' him a piece of her mind from out of nowhere, and we didn't even see her join the party!

Huzarex decides maybe it's time to leave, and heads straight up from the Fes; with Suzanna right on his tail. Both Nazario and I get disrupted, but I've still got him on scanners. Naz however lost us.

I'm about 5K back, and I suddenly start to close on both Huzarex and Suzanna. I assume she got a good CD shot into his butt. Well, he starts floppin' around like a beached carp; and we girls commence to do our worst medieval act on him. I was able to get a few nukes into him, and kept up a steady stream from my 3 main Blasters, but Suzanna was doin' some serious hurts to the guy.

He's finally depleted, we're both raining feet all over him, and poof; he goes up all pretty. I offerred Suzanna the kill, even though the hud thingie credited me; but she wouldn't hear of it. I finally convinced her to take the 10 Mil that Jinx had placed on his head. (You owe me the other 20 Mil, Boss!) And here, courtesy of the DW-Suzanna's black box, is the proof!

So, Mal, the moral is: Don't mess with the Ladies, and don't make fun of my cute little Kushan Freighter.

Be home soon,
Sophie
