Greetings,

I would like to know, what the Planet Harris syndrome is. I guess it's a description for ooRP action in inRP-speech, but I'm not really sure about this.

Is it similiar to the RL syndrome?
If not, I would like to know something about it (etymology, origin and so on) for inRP interactions.

No.

In one of the Taus there is a Planet named Harris with a battleship right outside. One smart powertrader found out that you could run goods from Harris to the Battleship MacDuff in orbit and you are essentially unable to be stopped. The high population in the system eventually led to a break in the role play atmosphere and a notorious amount of "oorp" stuff, I guess. This was the first time there was such a high density of players in one place with very little understanding of role play.

Vaguely.

what virus said happened in 4.83 or 4.82, it was the uber-powertrade rout of its time.

I thought it was before that, to be honest.

Oh well.

So it would describe only an ooRP Trade?

E.g. RepEx moves Engine components from Rheinland to Liberty?

Or does it includes also attacks like LN vs. LN or something like that?

How about the "Cannot participate in any unlawful action"-line in some Trade-IDs and the trader smuggles contraband or restricted cargo?

No.

I was simply explaining where the phrase came from. It refers to "oorp" comments and smileys in an "inRP" way.

It was a completely in-RP trade run, just with lots of : ))) and stuff in chat.

I always thought it was the sheer abount of newbie players hanging arround Harrisburg Station...

Wide awake in a world that sleeps, enduring thoughts, enduring scenes. The knowledge of what is yet to come.
From a time when all seems lost, from a dead man to a world, without restraint, unafraid and free.

Nope. Planet Harris <-> MacDuff. I vaguely remember Hoodlum saying he enjoyed sitting their on his Phantom battleship flaking the battleship to keep it from firing (when flaks were crazy, insta-kill a battleship with 6 of them) while others murdered the transports as they tried to trade.

Different times.
