After getting a computer at work with Windows 7 and rather enjoying it, I'm contemplating upgrading mine to it here at home. I run XP and it's been good to me so I wanted to ask you players who run Disco on that platform.
Does it run well? Is it a pain to get things loaded? What is your overall opinion of the platform.
Just looking for some input before I drop the money on it.
I run Disco on Win7 and haven't noticed any issues that are specific to Win7. The only thing to remember is to just install it somewhere other than Program Files (I use D:\Games on a dedicated drive), because the Program Files directory is "locked down" in Win7 and a lot of stuff isn't written for it. I think Freelancer itself will work fine in that case, but things like the Discovery Launchpad or the FLMM might have issues.
So far i have had no issues with 7 pro. Ere actually 1 issue, but that is with my router, and it is close to 8 years old,and sometimes 7 will not detect it. But that is probly just an age thing.
