I highly doubt that a Mercenary group has someone with knowledge of creating viable ship blueprints.
Anyway, I think this ship would be nice as a generic Mercenary fighter or whatever instead of being assigned to a single group. The MM aren't the only Mercs out there, you know.
As for the model, I have no real qualms with it, it's pretty nicely modeled.

Uh..what makes you think they don't have their own people who repair ships and such, especially with MM having storta...You can't operate space ship with bunch of people who can only use guns. So why not...or they could pay of different engineers across the Sirius to make parts/or whole ship and bring it to Brets for producing.
I think that there are enough generic fighters out there for mercs, more wouldn't hurt of course but MM could use their own ship, they are long time here, and being official as well, something that would attract players could be useful.
Also just as a note, I'm not in MM, and 90% of my chars are shot by them, but I still approve.

Do they have their own stations? Besides, being able to fix something is much different than designing what you're fixing. I can fix my computer, I can place the parts where they need to go, etc. but that doesn't mean I could design one, make the blueprints/schematics/etc just because I can fix a computer, for example.
' Wrote:Why do you have to bring the Zoners in everything. Take the Sabre for example, it's not manufactured by the 'Zoners', nor is the Eagle. They're all made by private companies who sell them to everyone through Zoner bases and other relatively open stations.
Actually both the Eagle and the Sabre are built by Zoners. At least that is part of OSI's role play.
As for why Zoners were brought into the topic of a generic merc ship? Take a look at the model and read the first post. The model takes elements from the Zoner gunboat, thus the modeler decided to say that Zoners designed the ship for open sale (or directly for the MM).
Would be kind of weird to claim that BMM designed and built a ship that is based of a Zoner design no?
To stop any discussions. Faction exclusive ships is not something the dev team is considering anymore. Especially not for small factions (in terms of roleplay).
Aside from that, it is a very nice model and would fit well as a generic ship. It could be manufactured by a private Bretonian corp or a Libertonian one to be used by thrill seeking pilots. (low cargo hold)
As for the shape itself, it looks big enough to be a VHF I think. Adding fins is up to you I guess.

I see some passive agressivness in that, but maybe it's just me. Anywho, no big deal.

Not that I'm complaining, I have no problems with the ship being civilian or something of the sort. But I need to ask....why?
The reasons I want this to be a a MM line.... Well, first of all, tons of other factions are getting their own shipline. I don't see how they're different. Certainly, the roleplay for a snub line for MM is there as well. And, most importantly, it could attract the much needed new players. As it is now, it's far more convenient to be an indie merc, for a whole bunch of reasons. A shipline would be a good motivator.
MM don't have any NPC, so actually MM's population is limited to known ships and it's crews. Relativly small faction, even compared to small factions like AFA, Xenos, Unioneers. They got bases and even planets around with NPCs. So players are not only those who utilise the faction ships.
And stop getting zoners to anything around here. That is already hillarious how zoner movement rised from some outcasts (not mean the faction) to billions of people who flying strongest capitals in game, running trade fleets of 5000 cargo ships compared to hugest house corporations and having stations all over around and designing 2\3 of new ships. I think it's already came too far so it will be good to at lest to hold on with adding even more zoner stuff.
Also ship will be good if it'll get some fins and wings. Will be good to go as generic ship, once designed for MM by some small shipbuilding company and then ship made it's way to the black market so anyone can use.
