It is just that. The overlay of faces, as I always have a face in the middle to keep my track of what the X-axis was.
Though Rommie pointed out to me some things here..
Picture 1 - This is the "flaws" he pointed out to me. the green line there, is, in fact, a double face, as i split the model into components when i work with it, but merge it as the final step. The internals of the red circles, are actually shadows.
picture 2 - Here you can see the same model from almost the same angle, however here, with the overlaid wireframe. Here you see clearly where there are supposed to be faces, and shadows.
