That's true, I'm hoping that this will help to make all the Kusari factions more active. This is going to be my primary focus now, so I'll be in my -{BD}- char getting things set up. I want to have a char ready before I start a recruitment thread.
You can find -{BD}-Hitomi_Ryuu flying around soon. If anyone wants to jump in now, just pm me or talk to me in game.
That would pretty much just cause a problem on your end pip. You might get a bunch of folks assuming you are Blood Dragons and coming to attack you based on that. You know the ones who don't pay attention to the forums. Not that much of an issue as far as I see.

ON MY WAY OUT OF RETIREMENT
Pipboy - you gonna stick to freighters?? Many {JC} do, & freighter v freighter is a diff kinda combat. Always hated Hogosha so I hope you pull it togeather, because pirating in Kusari is too darn easy and you should provide a diff kinda challange.
Seems you got a popular idea, but it might also be the hardest faction to represent. Get your politics right & good luck.
We are going to use mostly freighters and fighters. My flagship may be some kind of liner, and I don't see why transports couldn't be allowed, since there will be legal trading as well as smuggling. For now I am going to stick with Civilian and Kusari ships. Hogosha, Corsair, Civilian, Kusari and any Hogosha ally weapons will be allowed. I'm still debating about allowing Corsair ships, the only reason I'm thinking about it is because the game says that the Hogosha rely very heavily on the Corsairs for military strength. I don't think they will be needed though since Civilian and Kusari gives us a very good ship line-up. I am going to allow the new Corsair smuggling vessel though, we'll need it. As long as that is ok with the community that is.
I see what you mean with the -{BD}-, but I picked cause I thought it looked better than -{BDS}-. I can get it changed if everyone thinks it will be to much confusion. Although, if someone can't bother to scan a ship before attacking it, then they have other problems to deal with ;-).
EDIT: Now that I am looking at it, the Hogosha ID doesn't say that transports are allowed. Should we not use them then?
' Wrote:I don't think that open piracy is a great idea...
The NPC Hogosha disagree with you. When I travel from Planet New Tokyo to Roppongi Station, I usually take some water with me, since it is the only cargo that can make a profit (only $3/unit) in that direction. About one-third of the time, no NPC Hogosha are nearby, another third of the time the nearby NPC Hogosha don't scan me, but the remaining third of the time, I do get scanned by Hogosha who "pirate" me by demanding my water (ignoring anything that is more valuable). I usually start fighting the (blood)thirsty Hogosha, but I rarely kill one there, since once he is heavily damaged, he'll use the mooring point to land on Planet New Tokyo (NPC Hogosha never use New Tokyo's docking rings). Those NPC Hogosha are pesky nuisances. All I need now are pesky Hogosha players!
Anyway, I think you should use the -{BDS}- tag, since the -{BD}- tag is too likely to be misinterpreted as Blood Dragon.
I read somewhere that 4.84 will allow almost all factions to use transports, so that may be allowed for the Hogosha.
' Wrote:I'm working on the tag problem. Only other option is using the Japanese name, that would give a tag of -{Kk}-...
Whatever you do, don't add another "k" to that tag!:nono:
Have you considered using {Hogosha}? After all, the KNF player faction uses [KNF].
Of course, the smart-alec and Washington Redskins fan in me thinks that you should use {Hogs}, but that wouldn't go over well in Houston, much less Dallas.
