Bad news. The council motion seems to have stalled after that mess with Mori visiting turned into a lot of shouting and bad feelings. I don't know how long it will be until the official motion to allow their presence is passed.
I'll do my best to send some of my unofficial contacts your way to assist however they can in reconstruction and defense. I believe that one of them, Tannik Seldon, is already there. You should be able to count on him for any assistance you need.
P.S. Omicron Delta is, after all, free space. Should the Jupiter Guild choose to be in the area, nobody has the authority to prevent them.

"i am currently a bit disappointed from how slow the council works. sort of what i expected. By the time we really move into action, there s probably been more attacks. the main battle damage is repaired on FP11, but another attack might turn it all to dust again. if the council does not soon make its move, i consider to hire mercs on my own. the freeport 11 tradeship "Silvermist" would then provide its profits to the mercenaries.
but i still have hopes that we can work something out to the benefit of all. - keep in mind that the omicrons might turn into a more dangerous, yet important place for tradeship as we discover more and deeper quadrants.
"the Harbinger has appeared again in delta today. It was encountered near Yaren depot high above the ecliptic. Due to the latest refits it was possible to drive it off. It fled to the unknown ( Kappa ) system. However, it won t be possible to defend the system again alone.
we must act now and place defending units in the system! - We had a lot of witnesses there today, so i do hope that this incident won t go unnoticed and more units will be stationed there.
Repairs on freeport 11 proceed well. fires have been extinguished and leaks have been repaired. - if no more attacks hit the station, we might well be able to operate the station fully in the near future.
*I witnessed the threat ok, within an inch of my new Nepthys' hull! The [AW]Denicalus and I managed to keep your "guest" busy over near the Minor hole, until there wasn't much left I could do.
*Did you run off to do your nails or something? We could have used a little help, lady!*

Tannik Seldon managed to find Taurvi and establish contact with it. The conversation they had, such as it was, gives us some useful information. I've attached a copy:
As you can see, it wasn't exactly a clear conversation, or even normal for that matter. I'm sending copies to all of the xenolinguists I know... hopefully one of them can provide some more useful information. I wonder if any of them have studied telepathy...

OOC: Edited to make it more clear that the "conversation" was telepathic
"Mr. Fenning, that contact you made is simply amazing. Maybe there is a way to solve the hostilities in a peaceful way. It does not yet show much profund understanding, but its a lot more than just a start. If you have not yet done it anyway, i advice to foreward that logfile to the order leadership aswell as to the cambridge institude of research.
Maybe there is a way that you can gain their trust or get the chance to really initiate understanding there. A peaceful solution to the nomad problem in omicron-delta should allways be prefered to more destruction and pain. there are no winners when we fight and maybe the nomads in question will see reason to that and will cease fire.
Maybe i shall try to make contact another time, too. but i feel like it still wants to go for the freeport no matter what happens. I ll attempt to make contact next time it approaches the freeport and log the conversation. the more we know about these particular nomads, the better. we shall not give up hope.
"Today, the Harbinger and the Blitz showed up on the long range sensors. for unknown reasons the Persephone retreated from the encounter and left the Station without defense.
During the attack of the Nomads, the fueltanks blew up but the fires were extiguished quickly when units of the Jupiter Guild arrived at the scene of attacks.
The Harbinger was encountered by the order Battleshipcaptain Caedes, but the remained vicotrious. Soon many more defenders showed up and the Harbinger appeared to retreat into kappa, but those informations are unconfirmed as the sensors of the station were damaged.
Jinx commented about the retreat "I had my reasons..." not much more information was provided at that point, but insiders talk about problems with systems and certain works in progress that are still unfinished. the persephone remains in the system, but passed the guard duty officially to the JG for now.
It is a good thing, that the remaining survivers from the last attack were brought to Bretonia on board the persephone earlier and only an android crew remained. Right now, Jinx ordered a deep space repair ship to omicron delta to assist with the repairs of the station.
right now, there are no further informations available."
With heavy repair gear, the damage on freeport 11 were finally repaired. Fuel tanks and storage section, aswell as crews quarters and defense systems were fixed. the life support reinforced and improved. Extra shielding and armor platings were added to the hull of the station.
Generous donations and profits from trade around the omicrons along with a good share from the bounty hunters guild, that wishes to keep that station as a outpost base made it all possible. Freeport 11 can withstand more damage now, but is still considered a civilian installation. its still not fully operational and runs with only the minimum crew. most parts of the station are run by automatic maintanence.

"This is Jinx of the Persephone II, today, we made contact with the Nomads today! Instead of chasing them down we tried to talk to contact them verbally though. It appeared that it was possible to have some sort of conversation with them.
We had three different contacts around. one was showed up as Blitz, another as natura, and a third one as eye. they adressed the guardians directly, but their ability to communicate was rather limited and simple. It appeared that we faced several personalities of one mind. one was rather aggressive, one was rather cautious and another curious, but they were all confused about humans.
from what was extracted from the long conversation, it appeared that those specific nomads would not seek more combat, but rather like a truce as much as we did, but the wish for vengeance still appears too great to achive a true truce.
maybe the Nomads need more time to make up "their" mind or we need more ways to gain their trust, in case we wish to gain their trust anyway or in case its even possible to gain a nomads trust.
most parts of the conversation was saved on the computer of the persephone and can be uploaded if needed, but for now, a general impression of the whole chat shall be enough.
in the whole process, the Jupiter guild made intense attempts to keep the conversation going, but at some point, there appeared not to be any more progression with it all. the corsairs and the order was called in, too, but it seemed that the nomads will to communicate was at an end finally.
we shall wait for further chances to talk to the nomads in question and see what the future will bring us. - right now, we are hopeful to achieve a peaceful agreement, allthough that might come to problems with other factions throughout sirius.
this message shall be send to the council of the zoners aswell and may be a basis for further discussions about how to proceed with the nomad matter.
