I agree, I think it will be made in .86, not sure thou.
' Wrote:no because that would make it hard for ppl who what to rp with codename shops
+ codename prices would sky rocket
That's the point, no more campers, people will get equal chance to acquire these guns from the wreck. Rp codename shop is a lame name for overcharged guns, who aren't that special after all.
Idea:
Make nebulae effective. This could be done by seriously hampering with the sensors. Right now, fleeing from someone is pretty much impossible. If one is in a system and cruises away, the pursuer can select the target and follow. Or, if there is a lane, it's the obvious way to go.
So, how about we make nebulae really mess up sensors? I thought of... 5k sensor-detection-range instead of 15k. The halved scanning-range really is horse****, since no one really cares.
That way, fleeing into a nebula would be a smart move and you could actually outrun who ever it is who is following you!

There are some nebulae that already have just 5k range as far as I remember. They are few, but they are there.
Not every cloud has to be a scanner hazard like the Texas Negras;)
But I support your idea! Maybe not static 5k but preferably random from 10-5k.
I'd say turn off the sensor in nebulas altogether if the target turns off the engines and is moving less than 30 m/s. Imagine how that will work out in differnet scenarios.
I know this suggestion is too late for 4.86 but it could be considered for 4.87.
In Connecticut, could a second racetrack be built in the mine field? A challenging course, but one where you could die from mines if you stray off course.
The minefield in Lorraine was partly my inspiration for this idea. The race course would need to be a tighter pathway through the minefield though, if that's possible.
Another option would be to put mines around each ring with a narrow path after it that tapers out until you reach the next ring. This way you still crash and burn for missing a ring.
I know that Connecticut isn't really thought about much anymore other than being a free pvp system. I just thought it would be a fun addition to the mod.

Minefields are spheres filled with mines in some distance to one another.
In Languedoc and Orkney, for instance, there are cubic cut-outs leading to the jumphole. Cutouts can have different shapes and sizes, but it WILL be hard to have a cut-out following the race track ... it is possible though but it will require some time to get it right;)
I would really like to see some more wrecks and derelicts, not necessarily lootable but things out there that add to the universe....maybe a few of them out in the Omicrons and Nomad space of failed exploration ships and Order/BHG battlefield wrecks
