Double Mininova, why do you think the minirazor was taken away from bombers? hm?
exactly, one joust instakills.
(and you can still do those with a heavy bomber)

the history:

- nova cannon ( ammoless, 48k damage, gmg/RH bomber are able to fire two at once )
- problem: bombers are OP


- nova cannon is turned to the supernova cannon ( ammoless, 128k damage, dozens of new bombers are introduced and split into light / heavy, no bomber can fire 2 SNAC at once )
- problem: bombers are still OP due to their turning and agility, the ability to almost endlessly fire guns that are balanced for the fighterclass and their high armour.


- SNAC gets increased damage to 132k, disco introduces 2 more bomberclasses, the superheavy ( fafnir ) and the semi superheavy ( challenger, warren ), SNAC is brought down to 280ms but its range is significantly increased, bombers are given their own guns and become unable to mount minirazors/infernos, which they were able to dual wield, bombers are now able to dual fire the nova torpedo - but due to the ammoneed and unreliable damage - it remains highly unpopular.
- problem: bombers are still a hot topic - and are still too agile to be shot down, but their weapons appear to be mostly OK now.


- future: if torpedo damage can become reliable.... bombers might loose their "ammoless" supercannon and get an upgrade to their "main-weapon" depending on their performance vs. more agile capital warships.


things that will most likely NOT change:

- bombers shall not get the ability to dual fire any heavy weapons ( nor will fighters ) - unless these weapons are balanced according to their purpose and capabilities.
- dual minirazors were too powerful - so do not expect anything even similar to become available for bombers... again.

I don't see a clear point of this weapon. Yes, it would give you a chance of an error.
However, you'd still have to hit 3-4 in a row to compete with a single SNAC.
In the meantime, you'd get hit more often because you'r trying to hit more often. That's how antimatter works.
When you want to hit a small GB, you usually eat some of his tachyon while you'r doing it.
So, no, I don't think it'd be used with those stats. And "blast" is a no-no.

I like it.

However the majority of the community won't, As the mere thought of giving us Bomber pilots a cool new weapon that could cause potential damage to fighters is a big nono.
Definitely when you consider half the cretins that joust bombers will post here and whine how they don't like it.

Did I miss anything?

Bombers are great ships, no doubt about that. But some more choice of guns, speed, refire, bla bla...would be nice..
