Because faction forum is under Roleplay hub, where it should contain only inRP stuff. While faction status and feedback as well as other threads might be out of roleplay.

and I intend to allow OORP responces to continue in our feedbacck thread ;)
I think it is worth saying that those involved in this forum update/cleaning are doing a great job. We users will likely keep pointing out things you've over looked or didn't think about, and I know it likely gets annoying but you are doing a good job.
I am assuming the goal is to have each factions message dump, information/feedback, and recruitment threads moved into their respective sub forum right? So the message dump, information/feedback, and recruitment forums themselves can then be cleanse too? Or are we going to keep those things where they are?
I believe Dab is collecting links from faction leaders concerning all faction stuff to go in our own sub-forum. If so then yeah, the others will be cleansed.
Another question from me. Bounty Boards. Can factions house their Bounty Board within their subforum? For factions like the MM~ they could have their employeers make Bounty threads within the MM~ subforum, where the MM~ dudes can then post claims. This means that the MM~s don't have to dig through all of the Bounty Boards to find the ones they work from. This could be applied to the BHG most likely too.
As for other factions, it still would make sense to have them house their own bounty board. Makes it easier for mercs to look for work based on their reputation. The current Bounty Board could remain as a board for individuals posting hits on other individuals. Just some thoughts that I've thought up.

These seem reasonable ideas. Basically once players are happy with what they have set up and it is accessible for everyone.
The subforums are the player's to do with as they wish; just so long as folk know that the other faction forums (recruitment) will be emptied and removed once the threads are moved over.
My point is things like this blood dragon faction feed back, people are posting OORP, yet it is in the RP section, so you can see they want to. But it doesnt make sense.
Also the "republic of liberty" and "freeports" forums are cluttering up the role play hub - its becoming the faction hub! - Shouldnt they get seperate subforums in the faction forum, if they need more than the the other ones have currently?
On the other hand I like some of the changes - the ship sale seems good, so thanks.

Having a complex forums is not a good thing, and as a matter of fact, it's an actual drawback. The more simple general structure of a forum is, the newer members will be encouraged more to use em, but when they click on www.discoverygc.com and they find gazillion of forums and subforums filling their screen... Don't expect them not to be discouraged.
Sure, having a subforum for each region and faction and board and tech request and blabla and whatnot is a good idea, but it pretty much nulls the forums' "Simpleness, Effectiveness" aspect.

Factions can do with their forums what they want. If they want to post feedback threads and allow folks to complain out of character, they can.

The current set up is being worked on to come up with something that satisfies.
The idea is to make it user friendly - for players and administrators.
