Communication Channel as blue message showoff?

Lately I saw more and more threads there where only blue messages are shown and the roleplay that comes with that post - moderate...

This game is of course focused as shooter, but we have ability to define the quality of gameplay by ourselves.

Therefore I invite you to discuss whether communication channel (where different groups should communicate) should be used for these blue message dumps or should they be dumped into Stories and Biographies (something like personal wall of blue messages).

My point of view is - it's lame to showoff those blue messages without proper roleplay and only with intention to get attention thus promoting PvP as the most important gameplay aspect.
As well as it crowds the subforum meant to be place for communications and not message dump/ report facility.
So my thought - dump it on more appropriate forum - Stories and Biographies.

I agree, id rather have rp than pvp, pvp for me is what would ruin this game, PROMOTE RP, i like your veiw and i like ur idea

There was a complaint because your signature violated forum rule 1. Specifically:

Stuff like that can go in message dumps. Kill tallies can go in Stories & Biographies.

Communication Channel is for important things, not day-to-day kills. Diplomacy and so on.

No Message Dumps for some indies and groups that are disliked by main official faction. That's why they create own threads. Or to show off. Latter disturbs me if it's true.

I'd post a certain thread here as an example to "blue message RP threads," but that'd be a trial by forum. And Imma not gohna do that...

Instead, I will only say that there is a certain thread which basically only shows one player's entire list of kills, and that they will post an "update" to showcase new kills. What's the point, you might ask? Most likely, just to increase post count/inflate ego.

Now, if one were to say, create a journal of sorts, detailing their successful/less successful journeys, then I can see how it would be reasonable to show a few flashy pictures of them smacking down some targets.

When someone puts up a mere "list" of all their kills, it inclines me to believe that they either A: Spend too much time on this game, B: Cover up lacking RP skills with PvP, or C: PvP whore.

Just my opinion, hope no one thinks little of me for it.

Blue messages shouldn't be posted at all. Write a damn story about it in the time it takes you to upload it to imageshack/photobucket/dropbox.

I'm pretty sure a mercenary in Sirius doesn't run Windows and fly his ship through a laptop monitor. I'm pretty sure he doesn't take screenshots of his monitor window when he makes a kill. I'm also pretty sure there isn't some deity calling out who blows up who. So no, having that blue text in an RP thread is blatantly OORP. Why can't you just say "Oh, and today I killed [FACTION]Joe.Schmoe. What fun!"

He can make his biography thread and add "attachment" to who ever he wants to work. But they mostly post at Bounty Board and they care not to advertise themselves, because they work not for contracts (as MM~) but rather by target destruction bases.
