Richard stared blankly at the newsfeed. He couldn't beleive what was happening... all these new deveopments, hostilities in Rheinland, and now a draft... Bretonia certanly was an interesting place.
He had recieved his orders from the academy just moments ago; He was to submit his application to join the Armed Forces. His training within Queen Carina's Academy would have to be cut short. *Well,* he thought, *I guess this is what I get when I finally decided to settle into a routine...*
With that thought on his mind, he composed his message to the Armed Forces recruiter.
This is Richard Hastings, reporting in.
As instructed, I am applying for entry into the BAF after the termination of my time at the Academy.
I am standing by to equipt my ship as is nessicary.
James Barett, I see you are a promising future pilot, and considering the increased "heat" between the relations of Rheinland and Bretonia, you are promoted to the rank of Ensign. Nevertheless you will have to pass some tests, but since you have a past as a fighter, they wont be a problem for you.

From what you already gave us, as data, I can say you may be a good old trader, but armed forces are not a trading faction, so try to give us something that will at least place you in situation of a future military pilot.
Being an Bowex employee. I know where the pirate hotspots are in Bretonia. I've served up quite some credits. So BAF don't need to supply me with any money. I have been here for a while. I see and know how a command structure works, and I ain't in this for the power or the glory. I want to fight for my country. As for my piloting skills. I'm ok. But someone needs to start somewhere don't they?
As I have said. I will pay for all my gear. I will follow every order you give me. Hell if it means dying for my country, I will do so with pride!
As for myself. I'm a middle aged trader. If you didn't get that yourself. Grew up on New London. My father was in Bowex to, and....well. You know how it goes don't you? The trading life for myself is getting harder by the minute. Rheinland, as I said, is basicly the only place I can trade without being pirated. But that doesn't mean it's a nice place now does it? They treated me like dirt there. Perhaps because I was a bowex employee myself.
My name is Cyril Navare, I was born & educated on planet Cambridge, in my early twenties, after realising my dream of leaving academia once and for all I opted to spend the next few years of my life travelling throughout Sirius, finally settling in the Sigmas and eventually falling into the employ of the GMG, primarily in a paramilitary/escort capacity.
Now, I found the reports of skirmishes in Omega-3 most concerning, and once I heard Rhinelanders had set their sights on invading Cambridge I knew I had no other option than to travel back to my home system and assist the BAF however I could, where I ended up assisting the BAF in repelling a Rhinelander skirmish at the omega-3 jumphole earlier today. This being said I would like to apply for service in Her Majesty's armed forces and do my part to drive back the would be invaders from the noble house of Bretonia! I may not be well versed in large scale military battles, however I have crossed swords with many pirates in the boarder worlds which will give me a base of experience for a career as a pilot in the BAF.

. Cyril Navare, you are right about the rheinlanders brutal actions in order to reach cambridge system. I can give you information about them killing more than 100 patrols and more than 200 pilots just to reach a certain point of the system. About yourself, your skills will be tested and then you wont have to go to fighting pirates to increase your experience level.
