Meier rubbed his chin , thinking about the question and the scenario. An inhabited planet. Citizens are the number 1 thing. With out the Citizens the Revolution is nothing. He looked at the Commissar.
I would radio the Planet. The Citizens need to be protected and saved. That is one of our main goals, and if i were to Radio the Military Installation ,the Civilians would die. That would be unacceptable. The lives of Civilians go before the destruction of the Enemy Fleet.
He breathed a bit, looking at the Commissar. Collecting thoughts and speaking again.
As long as the Civilians are safe , i would feel myself victorious. We can always rebuild destroyed structures, we could not easily reproduce thousands of men , women and children. Even if i were to contact the Military Installation , they would never make it there in time. Thus,i would contact Planetside authorities.
Vladimir Romanov walked into the Recruitment office; he looked around at the many images of SCRA Soldiers. He sat down. The lady at the front desk, Alicia, told him to go in sit and wait for a recruitment officer to see him. He pulled out his application he had filled it out the night before on his application was in brief'¦
Name: Vladimir Romanov
Birth Place: Vogtland Base
Age: 18
Previous Employment: None
He knew very well what happened to those who didn't make the cut. He just hoped he did.
A small chirp alerted General Xu of a recruit waiting in the lounge. He walked thoughtfully down the corridor towards the recruitment centre. How would he handle this one? Would the recruit be all gushing or all stone faced? Well.. best he found out the hard way.
"Vladimir Romanov. My office."
He kept his hands clasped behind his back. After the recruit was in the room, he was patted down for weapons or any concealed traps and pushed into a chair by the two marine guards present. They waited outside the room.
"You're merely a boy. What could you possibly know about revolution?"
He picked up a knife and sat at the end of the desk, looking down on the boy.
"I didn't mean it as a rhetorical question boy. What do you know about our revolution?"
"So you read the neural net and you have a couple of facts about us, great. Straight out of the ABC book of Communism yeah?"
He tutted and shook his head.
"Not good enough boy. I lead entire units of men to die for a purpose. I throw myself and others down the barrels of enemy fire. You can't even tell me what that purpose is, or can you?"
He stood over the boy, knife in hand.
"I want answers, not excuses. I want to know if this pile of meat sitting before me is capable."
Well *he pauses* Now that I think a little harder about it I do believe the SCRA are mainly geared towards the Social Revolution of Sirius to replace all the governments of Sirius with Socialist Governments. For the good of all people of Sirius, of course. Though, it also wishes to eliminate all Alien forces within Sirius.
"Do you think that gets me out of bed in the morning? I asked for a purpose. A real tangible feeling and deep understanding of why we exist. You "do believe" we are social revolutionaries? What?! Can't you state *why* with some feeling?! You're trying my patience."
He arched the knife into the air, ready to strike.
"Let's take the Unioner movement for example. You were born on Vogtland I see. Tell me about your experiences with them."
My experiences with the Unioner movement are, based on what I heard and saw. They were hard working innocent men and women, who did not want to work long hours with little pay. The Formed a union and began demanding higher pay and less hours. They were successful for a time, until the 80 years’ war with the GMG ended. At that point Republican was paying its workers extremely high wages for very little hours. With the end of the war with the GMG the demand for ships dropped drastically which forced Republican to lay off thousands of workers. Many of them moved to Freeport 2 were they revolted and formed the Unioners. They were soon after joined by another force that revolted on Planet Hamburg.
That is honestly all i know about the Unioner movement...mostly things I have heard during talks at the bar on Vogtland.
The General slashed the knife downward, cutting deep into the boys knee - The howl from the boy was incredible.
"I didn't ask for a passage from a textbook! I asked about *YOUR* experiences. I wanted to know how many of their dire movement you had killed, or maimed or worse."
He pulled the knife from the recruit's knee, and struck down heavily into the other one. Again, a loud roar came from the recruit.
"The Unioners are filth. They violently attack civilian traders from Republican shipping purely because they're wage demands were unrealistic. They are nothing more than spoiled children."
He pulled the knife from the recruits knee once more, giving it a quick wipe before he kicked the recruit and chair to the ground.
"Last chance - And please show me some morsel of intellect, passion or feeling, His Watchful Eye sees all. Why must we regulate transmissions coming into Omega-52 from external sources for our civilian population?"
