Allow me to formally introduce myself. My name is A.D.A.I. Short for Advanced Distribution Artificial Intelligence. I work with a small group of flesh things who operate under the title Freelance Shipping. I have been instructed to tell you that should you require anything, please let them know. Now you flesh things know what to call me and where to go should you not be able to reach me or find working with me undesirable.
I was "pleased" if you will today upon meeting such respectful and willing flesh things to speak with me. Most would either call me a "toaster" or would simply dispense with pleasantries and continue on their way. A welcome change that I will have to save in my databanks.
Pulling up from my memory banks, we had discussed giving your ship's core a major overhaul, to increase performance and productivity. To that end, I have calculated the necessary parts and software to conduct my upgrade. You should be receiving a list of what I will be acquiring for your ship.
Procuring such items will be minimal. Acquiring them will takes some time, as the items sent to you are not located within one place. This should not take too long though.
Please inform me of a time and place to begin the upgrading process.
If your superiors can agree to not scrap some of their ships, I would be more than happy to assist in upgrading the ships of the Interspace Commerce fleet. I am aware that many of the items you can acquire yourselves, but there are some that you cannot. You also do not have an AI advanced enough as I am to ensure the cores of your fleet are running at 100% after the upgrades are completed. I do not want to see your ships fail and break due to flesh thing's failure to properly upgrade what is needed.
I shall await your return response.:Ending Transmission:::

Greetings A.D.A.I, glad to hear from you again.
First I wish to thank you for the helm software upgrade, the lady responds faster to our helmsman commands faster than ever. We don't even have to input course corrections every 20 kilometers, is now easy to fly her as it was the she left the first time the shipyard 30 years ago.
Now, for the core upgrades, my chief engineer bugged me all day long all the trip from New Tokyo about the new systems and all that engineering details, something like boosting the engines, that we will have more power to our engines and how speed will be boosted. She also mentioned something about having more power to reroute to the hull integrity as well.
All and all I am letting you know that in almost 5 hours we will be in Bretonia near New London. I thought I should give my crew some brake in the planet surface to spend some money before we return to duty. The Los Angeles will be stationed in the orbit of New London for about 3 or 4 hours until we depart the system, if you can make it there we will be glad.
Looking forward to see you again my mechanical friend.
Regards Jack Fox, captain of the Los Angeles.
You surprise me with your fast response and your waiting for me so suddenly. Unfortunately, the time needed to procure such items will take slightly longer. What I will do is when such items have been gathered, I will contact you again. It may take a couple of your flesh thing days, but it will be within the week.
Please remain calm, and know that your ship will operate efficiently for the time being. I am glad the small upgrade I made to your systems has been beneficial. Also glad a flesh thing appreciates my work. Who would have thought that an AI could improve another computer. I'm sure the thought never occurred to many flesh things. 'Fix it themselves' they said. 'It'll work better' they said. Yet look what I did in a matter of seconds. I will never fully understand flesh thing's reasoning. Thankfully I met you and your crew.
I will be comm'ing you soon.:Ending Transmission:::

Greetings again. Good to hear from you so soon. As for the fast response you must understand that I am not young anymore and a transport ship captain does not have so many things to do anymore after you issued a destination to the helmsman and informed your bridge crew what to do. I use all the time reading news, checking the market request reading orders and captains logs from the other IC captains. Responding to transmissions is more like a....hobby to call it so.
There will be no problem with the time we have to wait until our upgrades will be made. We kept the ship in shape so long we can do it a little longer with no problem whatsoever. My chief engineer will just have to wait a bit longer and what she does best: nagging me. Thank you for your time and "safe lanes"!
Looking forward to see you again my mechanical friend.
Regards Jack Fox, captain of the Los Angeles.
:::Beginning Transmission:Greetings again Captain "Jack",
I see your time is not used to it's full potential. I can perform fundamental upgrades to your personal "core" to ensure you do not have time wasted on reading only the news. But, as you flesh things say, it is your choice.
Regardless, I have accomplished what I have set out to do. All hardware and materials needed to upgrade your ship's core has been located and acquired. Difficulty did arise in acquiring said items, so the price for such an upgrade has increased. An additional 5.000.000 Sirius credits will be needed. If this is not acceptable, your core shall remain uncompleted. Your core will not be pleased, which in turn will make your "engineer", if she can be qualified for such a job, annoy you further with demands for a better core. I know how "annoyed" I get when I am nagged by flesh things. I can only quantify how much more annoying it is for a flesh thing as yourself who cannot turn off your auditory sensors. Again, I can fix your personal auditory system for you. I recommend this upgrade.
Work has begun on assembling some of the systems to be installed. This will take roughly 8 hours to complete from this transmission. If at such a time you are ready for the upgrade, contact me on this frequency. I will then contact you via system comms to locate a suitable location.
I look forward to delving into your ships core and dramatically improving her performance.:Ending Transmission:::

The extra credits won't be a problem and as gratefull as I am to your request on upgradeing my "core" I'll just have to pass, I am good as I am right now, I don't ewant to become too smart after the upgrade heh.
As for my ship core I will inform my comm oficer to let you know when we are in range to open a direct channel to your vessel. Looking forward to meet you again.
