All right, I was flying to New Berlin looking for a bounty, I went through the Sigma 13 system, pirate galore right? I expected that in my Bounty Hunter tagged ship, I'd expect trouble. I wouldn't be angry about it.
Then I cam across an Outcast IFF ship, it was a Raven's Talon, right outside Gas Miner Naha. Odd as though it was, he didn't shoot right away which I expected, so I just moved towards the next trade lane, not under cruise. I thought he wouldn't attack since he didn't even twitch. Next thing I know, he disrupts the lane. Oh and to remind you, I'm in a Hammerhead at this time... Here is the rundown of what was said: (This isn't word for word but whats said is close enough
Outcast Pilot - Slater, halt! Slater (me) - Oh? Outcast Pilot - 1 mill plz Slater - Excuse me? Outcast Pilot - You have cargo, I can tax you. Slater - Excuse me? Outcast, this is my personal equipment pilot, this stuff keeps my ship running. I have no business with you, I only attack pilots I am paid to attack, but if you attack me I will defend myself. (Just to let you guys know, I usually fly with food, engine components and fuel to RP) Outcast Pilot - But you have cargo, that makes you a trader I can tax you. Blood Dragon Pilot - Outcasts? Where? Slater - I am no trader, do I have a trader ID? No, am I a transport? No. I am leaving now. Outcast Pilot - Your not going anywhere (Shoots lane then attacks me) Slater - All right, but pirating me outside Naha isn't the best mind. (Cunningly letting the Dragons know where he's at)
A battle set loose, this guy had pathetic aim yet powerful equipment. I ripped his shields up and outmaneuvered him, I just didn't have enough firepower at the time. I predicted a death. Then suddenly the Blood Dragon pilot arrives.
Blood Dragon Pilot - Ooh, I have a choice! Who to attack?
He just stood there for a few seconds then...
Blood Dragon Pilot - Outcasts take priority!
He attacked the Outcast, both of us combined led to the destruction of the Outcast, pretty quickly. After the battle I immediately stopped my ship, I knew I was doomed if I engaged the Blood Dragon.
Slater - I take it I better pay you then? I am outclassed here.
(after a while) Blood Dragon Pilot - I take it your a proper bounty hunter then? Slater - I only attack criminals I get paid to. Thats my way. Blood Dragon Pilot - You can go then, keep the money. But we best part ways Slater - Agreed, and thank you. Blood Dragon Pilot - No problem.

The moral of the story is, why in hell would you pirate a fighter!? I mean a million from one pilot?! In a fighter? If I was in a freighter or higher fair enough, but a fighter? As I saw him try to 'tax' me, I looked at my screen is disbelief, wish I had a picture of that.
Pirates all over, use some sense! I am sure this is just an isolated incident.
' Wrote:Are you sure it was Outcast, not Corsair..
If not, which I doubt.. What was the BD's name so we can get him straightened out before he shows his stupidity some more..
I won't give any names. After all, that wouldn't be right not very honorable... Find your own 'leaks'
I recommend submerging all your pilots in water to see if any leak.
EDIT: Looking in hindsight, it could be a Corsair, since I only saw the tag, I didn't scan for the ID. He was hostile either faction.
Than he would be a Corsair.. Blood Dragons don't kill Outcasts, and I'd like to think none of the Outcasts are quite as stupid as the person described.. But ya never know.
dragons do have a 'truce' of sorts with outcasts, but that doesnt mean they -like- outcasts. Blood dragons absolutely despise cardamine and it's distribution by outcast smugglers, and they are very cautious of any outcasts they see.
The only reason dragons are considered 'allies' with the outcasts is because the primary enemies of the outcasts - the corsairs - are aiding the hogosha against the dragons. The enemy of my enemy is my friend, that's all that they have going on.
Blood dragons also fight for honor above all other things. Death before dishonor - they will never attack someone if doing so would dishonor them. In this case, the outcast was being a dishonorable (not to mention greedy) bastard, by attempting to take money from someone who wasnt even flying a freighter or transport. Further, fletcher's bounty hunter was acting in an honorable manner, mentioning that he doesnt attack anyone unless paid to - but will defend himself if attacked first.
The blood dragon likely saw that as an honorable attitude, and decided the outcast was deserving of death more than the bounty hunter. Good RP from both pilots though.
