Canadian Systems

Read everything I say here before answering!

I feel that the Canadian systems should be under the control of Bretonia, not Liberty. Now, first off, I don't feel that the Canadians would have gone on the Liberty, anyways, and would have rather gone on the Bretonia (probably with the rest of the Commonwealth) as I think we would prefer that over going with the Americans. Now, before you say, "But Canada's right next to the U.S.!", that doesn't count for anything. They aren't even on Earth anymore, they're on one of Jupiter's moons, so geography is meaningless. Also, the nations in FL all seem to be portrayed in the WWI-WWII era, during which Canada still had VERY strong ties to Britain. Heck, we only went into WWI because at that point, Britain practically controlled our foreign policy! So, it makes more sense to have Canada in Bretonian hands, probably being developed by BMM. The Canadian systems should, in my mind, probably connect to Magellan, Manchester, and maybe Leeds.

I agree. I believe the vast majority of Commonwealth member states went on the Bretonia due to lack of ability to finance their own sleeper ships or nationalistic desire, and occupy small parts of Bretonia proper. Keep their celestial position, transfer them to Bretonia.

For those who argue that Canada will be merging with America in future.. please tell that to a street full of average Canadians.

It will be called the North American Union (NAU). Canada, Mexico, and the U.S. governments have already signed the preliminary accords, otherwise called NAFTA as put forth by the United Nations. They just havn't got around to telling the citizens about it.

I agree to this, surprised more Commonwealth countries don't pop up, like Australia or the Kiwi Islands.

Canada under or allied to Bretonia makes sense, and close to it perhaps.

I had considered that, but... no crackpot conspiracy theories, please. Otherwise, I can claim that all House leaders should have Jewish names, to reflect the Protocols of the Elders of Zion, or that the Bretonia monarchy or King George should be lizards.

And As Patrick say, If you are an american, don't even dare to say to a Canadian that Canada should be under the US flag. We are reputated to be extremely nationalist.

Speaking of Canadian nationalism...

I don't suppose we could create a terrorist faction "Lumberjacks" that ruled/terrorised the Canadian systems similar to the Molly's in Dublin. If you tell any Canadian he's part of America or Britain, run... fast. Think of all the ships we could have... Logger, Tomahawk, Chainsaw... drool. And of course we could even have our own indigenous corps, *TH corporation - official supplier of dohnuts to LPI.
