I was released from the hospital and told I was cleared for duty. Picked up a new liberator and launched from Manhattan. Hmmm, haven't seen any of my fellow officers, maybe they are on break.
I started patrolling in front of of the Docking rings when the Navy assistance channel came to life. It seems that Prospector in his gunboat was sighted and engaged. The Navy needed a hand in taking him down.
I hit the Manhattan to West Point trade lane and brought all my weapons up to ready. I buckled in tighter and set the shields to maximum. The battle site was half way down the trade lane, so I deactivated the trade lane when I got close.
A query to the Navy if they still needed assistance was met with a resounding yes. The gap between myself and Prospector was swiftly closed and I unloaded on him with all my weaponry. I must admit, the man is good in that gunboat. For several minutes that I was involved I observed him throwing that gunboat at all sorts of crazy angles....
I closed on his hind quarters and started to punish his engines when a mine caught me off guard. The hull of the libby was punctured, and I had to eject. I have no idea what t he outcome of the battle was. I didn't get to see it.
