An eventful first outing as the new Chief of Police.
First, I linked up with elements of the Navy's 5th Fleet, namely Max Fox, James Raynor, and Jack O'Neill. From there, we conducted a patrol of the New York System, and we came upon a Pirate Broadsword by the name of Tiki. I pursued him into the debris field behind Manhattan, where I finally managed to disrupt him and get a comprehensive scan of his craft. Elements from the 5th Fleet linked up with me shortly afterwards, although not before he gave me some lip. I hit him with a fine and escorted him outside of Liberty, while he said some prettyquestionable things.
I then linked up with Deputy Chief Patricia Lyons, and we proceeded to maintain a picket at Rio Grande in case Tiki decided to come back. A Cryer transport hauling synthetic marijuana came screaming through, with some battle damage, and shouted about raiders in the Kepler system. Once we got there, we didn't find anything, so we'll shelve this one for now.
We got back to Manhattan and picked up Warner Breyman, and found a Miner carrying some illegal commodities named Frank.Morris. He looked new around these parts, so I told him to drop what little contraband he was carrying and let him off with a warning. The units were dropped off at the evidence locker on Planet Manhattan.
Lyons docked on Manhattan, and I proceeded to take Breyman to West Point, where a quick cloak disruption revealed the presence of a suspiciously Nomadic Roc bomber named Witch Hunter, as well as a Rheinland Gunboat named RNC Nestor. I was willing to give them the benefit of the doubt as to their intentions, but the bomber opened fire on Mephistoles and we were forced to defend. Additionally, two Nomad lifeforms were present, a small one named Nu'Gal and a bigger one named Takkar. With the help of Mephistoles and an LSF gunship with the designation Menwith Hill, we were able to dispatch the gunboat and it's supporting forces. Unfortunately, some civilians were caught in the crossfire.
My patrol ended here. Just another exciting day in Liberty, I suppose.
