My first solo flight ended up a bit more eventful than I imagined. After getting all of my equipment ready and doing the necessary pre-flight checks, I flew my way over to New York to begin my patrol. This was also the best time to test out the TLAGSNET uplink on my ship, but it seemed that most residents were enjoying their sleep cycle at the time.
Or so I thought, until I got to Manhattan high orbit. There in broad starlight, a few clicks off the main patrol areas sat a large nomad form, picking off local defenders like they were plushie toys.
The morning routine was very slow, so I was already online on the T-S-3 protocol comms, and luckily an LSF agent was present in order to scramble a team to take the creature down.
After making sure that there were no civilians in the system, I approached the creature and remained in cruise in order to be ready to prevent it from fleeing, and I also got a few readings regarding contents of its stomach, or whatever they have.
The nomadic entity only got as far as the other side of Manhattan by the time the LSF assistance arrived and they made very short work of the thing.
My ship suffered no damage in this encounter and the items recovered from the area were confiscated by the LSF.
-Append-
I continued my patrol by going to the Pennsylvania System in order to make sure everything was alright there. Nothing was really out of place - only a few small miners and a secondary wing Universal Shipping liner ferrying the goods. I was about to clock in until I encountered a Freelancer by the name of Starwazer.
Seeing as though the ship was in direct violation of 3.3 regarding the use of transport vessels, the freelancer was quickly asked to leave - I directed him towards Bretonia. Sadly, instead the individual decided to deviate from the course assigned to them and fled to Texas, where - upon a small argument broke out and their ship fell apart.
The pod was delivered to Sugarland, hopefully that will allow the fellow to cool off a bit.
That concludes my report.
