Launched and made a few rounds of the NY system, not really finding a whole lot wrong. I settled in to monitor the LPI Dispatch Channel and the Mutual assistance channels to see if anything was going on in another system.
The Navy had spotted a group of trouble makers using Rogue IFF's, but a ]M[ tag to there name. A possible offshoot of the Liberty Rogues? Might want to get some intel on these guys.... they were in the California system, and the Navy put out a call for assistance. Seeing as I was the only LPI officer in system at the time, I responded. I entered the California system with a contingent of Navy and LSF vessels. We proceeded down the trade lanes towards Los Angeles, but found Nothing.
We thought that it was a false alarm, so we tried to go back towards Planet Mojave, but the trade lane was shot out from under us and the perps were there! Also present was the Outcast-Selina.Revette. She seemed to be in charge of these guys, as she told them to hang back, that she wanted to take on all of us lawfuls herself.
Quiet a battle ensued, lots of missiles flying and mines a-tumbling. Another day of the mines, seeing as one exploded close to me and punctured my hull. I had to eject due to life support was failing. The Navy was nice enough to haul my ship and me back to Manhattan.
A Couple of hours later I was back on patrol when a report of a Raven attacking a LSF officer came in. It was Raven-Banshee. I entered the fray and got quiet a few shots in. The LSF officer and I finished him off.
Shortly thereafter a report of multiple bad guys (And Gals) was radioed in. I was having problems with my Libby, it still wasn't completely right after this mornings battle, so I landed and pulled out he SWAT Guardian. I made my way to West point ,where I found a battle already in progress. I focused on the LR- Doomsday.Heart, seeing as the pilot had taunted [flirted with?] me before I joined the battle.
It was a close one, but I just couldn't close the deal. I had dealt out some damage, but she got me with a Super Nova. At least it felt like one. The life pod took me back to Manhattan where I had the Doc check me out. He told me that I had enough for today, but I could report for duty again tomorrow..
End of Report
