2nd daily report of Liberty Police (Inc.) officer Kira knight
I believe that every human being is entitled to a second chance, and many to a third or a fourth or fifth.
I know that I have been making some poor descisions lately, but the lessons learned will be lost to the LPI if I am fired. Admitted, I have not yet mastered the evasion of enemy fire to a satisfactory level, and I was not aware that the standards the 'Ace pilot' assessment I declared on my application were... not as I thought they were.
That being said, I proceed with my daily report as required. Soon after launching on patrol in New York, the Liberty Navy asigned me to investigate a Gunship 'Burasko', which turned out to be ... a Rogue Gunship. The threat was soon dealt with, and I must ask you to disregard any allegations that the perpetrator wasn't sufficiently warned of his insubordination and abhorent behaviour before his ship was turned into scrap metal.
Soon after, a Lane HAcker bomber 'BLue.Dove' issued entirely inapropriate remarks about the lower back of a Liberty Naval officer. After approaching the offender, scanning him, and making known that he is, in contradiction to his previous assertions, a male, the suspect proceeded to destroy my newly aquired Liberator light fighter.
At this point I would like to remind the LPI administration that I did, in fact, ask for better armour on my ship on several occasions.
As I moved to equip my third ship with the so direly needed armour, I received a theatening message by a robotic voice... that civilians would be harmed unless I meet with the individual 'Duos.Evertos' in Texas. With no police officers apart from me on duty at hte time, I requested escorts from 2 bounty hunters and proceeded to Texas to arrest the blackmailer. The Navy forces present at Houston soon located the known criminal Duos and an associated Harvester, and we moved to apprehend them. However they fled without giving a chance to intercept them. I relieved the bounty hunters of duty, and went on my back way to the New YOrk system. Unfortunately, my attempts to end a brawl between one of the Bounty hunters and a massively armed Taidan Outcast bomber... ended with my 3rd ship being destroyed.
Soon after launching with my 4th Liberator fighter, a LPI strike team that was to take out some Rogue Gunboats... the same that destroyed my first ship yesterday... asked me to assist them by disrupting the criminals cruise engines. I was happy to join, and fire Revenge V and Cruise disruptors at them with extreme prejudice. The operation, nonetheless, was qualified by the leading LPI Officer as 'fail', 'epic Phail', and extremely unseccesful after 2 LPI ships had been destroyed. The officer clearrly tried to shift some of hte blame on my allegedly too low rate of CD fire onto the missil-spaming gunboat, but I must point out that I was in a light fighter and that it was only my second day. Some ion storms disolved this battle before it ended.
After the storms had subsided, I headed back to New York through Virginia and Texas, since the Rogues were still blockig the gate at CAlifonira, and I was on my own. If this had already been a pretty bad day, it was still going to get a little sugar coating. After only 10 k through the tradelane leading from Texas jump in New York, I spotted yet another Liberty Rogue bomber, making his way up north. After I pointed this out on open channels, the bomber attacked me without notice, obviously dis-satisfied at how I had described the suspect's appearance to the other police in hte system.
Then, something which I still cant fully undersand happened. On secure channels, an unknown ship '42|Hapy' started talking to me on private channels, about how I cant attack his friend. As I answered, he soon reversed on his stance in defending the Rogue and pointed out that he was an 'idjit'... whatever that is. Unfortunealy, the distraction of the messaging caused the loss of my 4th Liberator light fighter. I have decided to infestigate this 42|Hapy...
As a closing statement I would like to again stress the point that none of the lost material can be attributed to mistakes in police behaviour on my behalf, but are the consequence of a lack of LPI manpower, resources, armour, and also bad luck. A furhter reduction of the LPI manpower would only worsen the problem, not solve it.
