Patrol Report: Recruit Officer Steven Le
Date: 06-25-817
Today's patrol was less than successful. It started when we stopped a Bounty Hunter that was completely oblivious of the laws against Nomads, and it took quite a bit of explaining before I could get him to give up his contraband.
I then spotted a suspicious ship and pursued him asking him to stop for a cargo scan. He turned on his cruise engines and taunted, "Row row, to fight the power!" LNS-Atlanta moved into to intercept him when he flew into Zone 21 and I was given permission to assist in the chase. However, once the chase was brought into Alaska, LNS-Atlanta called the chase off. Apparently whatever was deep in the system was not for my eyes, so we turned back and left.
I was then subjected to another patrol with Sergeant Joe Smith. The sound of his bellowing voice shouting, "LEEEEEEEEEE!!!!" sent shivers down my spine. Operating at Fort Bush we began collecting fines from people with broken tail lights until we received a tip that there was a smuggler moving in from California. Smith, Sentinel 101, and I quickly moved to the scene and began obsessively scanning all vessels coming out of the jump gate. Suddenly, we got radio chatter from a smuggler docking in Manhattan that he was selling off his artifacts.
It was a fake tip, a decoy and the smuggler was able to sell his artifacts off.
Details of our pursuit of the fake tipper will be covered when I finish writing the case file for it.
