Ahem, Greetings. This is Alexandra Markey, current Recruit of the LPI. Today has been quite eventful in the New York system. I ran several patrols, as well as assisted in a few calls, and I'm uploading my neural net log from the day now.
ENTRY 1
Upon launching from Manhattan, I was immediately greeted with the sight of an "Aquilon" Class Zoner Carrier. At first I was taken aback by it's size and current position, but quickly remembered my job. I contacted the carrier's captain, who goes by the callsign of Yoda-[T], to verify his Capital Ship registration and permit, and everything checked out.
I set out on a patrol course to Fort Bush, and intercepted a trader headed to a neighbouring system, and did the normal check for contraband and other ammenities checked out, and the trader was free to go.
While heading back to Manhattan after having finished my Patrol, the tradelane sequence was disrupted by an Outcast vessel. I called in for backup, but the vessel managed to flee.
Aftering having reached Manhattan, I encountered yet another large vessel trader, and took the oppurtunity to make sure it wasn't carrying any illegal goods, and it wasn't. Everything on scanners checked out fine.
I'd begun to start another patrol when I got a mayday call from the LNS-San.Francisco. Apparently it was being attacked and boarded by a large AI vessel int he vicinity of Rochester. I managed to gain radio contact with an LPI wing that had already been deployed, and recieved constant updates of the situation. The San Francisco was disabled, boarded, and set to blow, while the captain of the vessel, Seth Karlo, was taken hostage upon the AI's vessel. I immediately cleared the blast zone, and braced for the San Francisco's detonation, which happened as it drifted past Rochester base. The base took heavy damages, but no civilians were killed.
Immediately the LPI scrambled in search for the San Francisco's captain. I received a faint message that seemed like the beacon that pods send out once they've been ejected, and went to investigate. Upon reaching the co ordinance I believed the signal was coming from, I was ambushed and grappled by two Lane Hacker vessels. I was able to call in for help, and the Hackers were sent scrambling once my fellow officers showed up.
