Whilst it would appear that I have been shut in my office and unreachable..... I have been doing a lot of paperwork.... I have been reading the reports...... both the official and unofficial ones...
To say that I am impressed with what I have been reading and seeing is an understatement... Its been a long while since I have seen this much pride and professionalism in the organization...New Officers are joining up, Multiple officers being able to fly together, makes this old cop's heart get a warm and fuzzy.
We here in the High Command are aware of the unbalances in our equipment versus the foes you face everyday exists.... we are trying to come up with a solution for this... for now, the Magma Hammer is your friend... patrol with a partner.... and use the Liberators maneuverability to humiliate your foe.... a experienced Officer can make the Libby just about sing....Also, once you have attained the rank of Officer, apply for SWAT... we just had 3 people accepted, and I am going to go back and see if we have more....
As to the matter of the War with Rheinland....
Do be vigilant. As the war wears on, we expect that the RM will become more bold in their attacks. In the end, most of these attacks will fail. We all know you can't win them all. As more time wears on, they will also become more desperate in their attacks, and will also start using Mercenaries and spies. Be mindful, and most importantly, listen... You ears are the best intelligence gathering device we have. We do forward on all reports to the LSF and LN for further processing.
On the reports of Gallia:
We have all heard the rumors.... but we know very little. Again, be vigilant... if you scan a vessel and its nothing like you have seen before, get gun cam and sensor readings and forward them on immediately. We are gathering our own intel and sharing it with the LSF and LN. The more we know, the better.
The Ontario, Alberta, and Yukon systems
It seems the SCRA has taken a major interest in these systems, use extreme caution when dealing with these people. They are highly trained and have very good ships.
Additionally, be mindful of the political climate that is currently happening. There is a a rift developing between separatists in these systems and the Liberty Government. Be professional in your dealings. We don't want to be the catalyst for something nasty.
Combat training
With the War between Liberty and Rheinland raging on, many of the LPI's Officers have been called into battle to help hold the line. Front line fighting has never been our forte, but we need to adapt and overcome. As our foes gain experience, so should we. We have a few Officers who are qualified to conduct a combat training class. We wish to be able to hold a class per shift so those Officer's who wish to take it can. Once established, I urge all to take it. I will be.
Rescue and Assistance brigade
With Deputy Chief Riza Williams out on extended leave for injuries, I am appointing LT Amy McTavish as head of the R&A brigade. Many traders and Warships are needing rescued or assistance to make their Ports of Call. Currently there is no other organization that is handling this, so we are going to take up the slack Until further notice.
There will be Towing, Medical, and Firefighting assignments open.... More on this to come.
In Closing....
I wish to say that all of you make me proud... Keep it up
Deputy Chief Hull O'Brian.
