Brief report/outline of your patrol:Officer Vladimir Law entered the medic bay of Fort Bush, staggering from right to left with blood pouring down his head and a deep gash in his chest. He lost his vision, he couldn't breath: suddenly Vladimir collapsed on the medic bay floor, blood pouring all around him.
Doctors and nurses immediately went to him and started to stop the bleeding. Officer Vladimir went unconscious at that time, as the loss of blood was immense. The medic crews did their best and got the officer stable, put him on a bed and monitored his situation constantly. Officer Vladimir Law was severely injured. It seems that his injuries were suffered in a battle, as the metal that gashed into his chest was from his LPI craft. Finding his escape vessel, the Fort Bush police were amazed to see how lucky Vladimir was to be alive: the escape vessel was shredded to pieces and the only thing that kept him alive was his oxygen mask. It wasn't just a miracle, it was smart and logical decisions.
The nurses at the medic bay on Fort Bush were changing his clothes when they found a few written pieces of paper. They thought that he must have written them on the journey back to Fort Bush. They sent it immediately to One Police Plaza, in the hope that it would provide some information on the situation.
___________________________________________________ Liberty Police Incorporated Report: 10/04/818 A.S.
I woke this morning feeling great, and I was hoping the day would be good. When I caught a vessel to Fort Bush and began my patrol in Precint 312, I was in contact with the local law enforcement. I heard a message go through the comms that a smuggler operating in Liberty was found and for it to be intercepted. I quickly got onto the comms and replied positively. The suspect, a one Buntling & Badling was in an illegal vessel and had to be escorted out of Liberty[1][2]. I then did so[3], setting the course to go to Magellan and for the pilot to exit there. There he left Liberty, however returned later in breach of the laws. Hence, caution should be advised.
I then subsequently returned to New York to check how things were going there. On patrol I found nothing in particular that was hostile, so continued to proceed into Texas on my patrol. Patrolling through Texas I encountered Evangeline McDowell who had a hostage in his vessel. The pilot stated that it was his wife, and on further analysis I assumed the female hostage could be. Before I could go further, I decided to disengage as there were Rheinland contacts who appeared.
A Rheinland Freighter, a one Sir_Lehnerson[4][5], and a Rheinland Very Heavy Fighter Teebaumoel[6]. The Freighter and the fighter originally entered Houston and refused to stop, and on turning out they were detained[7]. After finding illegal weapons as well as illegal ships, I fined Sir_Lehnerson $1 000 000[8] for breach of Liberty Law. This was duly paid[9] and sent to LPI Rikers[10]. After the fine was paid I found out that the vessels were trading such goods towards Rheinland, and they refused to stop[11]. On preparing the destruction of the ships, the vessel Sir_Lehnerson duly complied and jettisoned his superconductors. These vessels should be considered embargo-breakers and hence criminals.
I then continued patrol. Texas was eventually deemed clear by myself with only lawfuls entering and leaving the system. I then decided to have a little rest on Planet Houston. I went to a restaurant for lunch, and spent some time in an Inn having a nap.
I was woken up by an urgent call on the Police comms for backup, as there was sightings of Rheinland Navy gunboats in New York. Changing into my uniform from civilian clothes, I quickly got a flight to Police Plaza from Houston. My SWAT unit activated and went into gear, so as thus I went to investigate. Entering near Manhattan I spotted U-19[12][13] and another U-boat. Unfortunately at that time there was no other backup available and, not to my surprise, there was no response on the comms. I assisted the person in distress[14], however this led to my vessel being destroyed by the direct gunfire of the vessel. Luckily I escaped relatively unharmed into the escape vessel, and landed on Planet Manhattan.
Repairing my vessel back at Police Plaza in Illinois, I was again deployed by a request again of a large pirate presence in California. Donning my SWAT gear, I went. On my way there I encountered a one MTX. As I was wondering what he was hauling I ordered the vessel to stop [14a]. Unfortunately the vessel continued to try and flee and I used Cruise Disruptor missiles to make sure he does flee. Eventually I fired warning shots near the pilot as a precursor to an attack if he doesn't comply. Not knowing, the pilot decided to attack the LPI officer on command. Hence, I opened fire and destroyed the vessel, all the cargo inside and arrested the suspect from his lifepod, and placed him in the brig.[14b]. I then continued to California where the situation was peaceful, and onto New York to Planet Manhattan.
After spending some time on Planet Manhattan seeking medical assistance, re-arming and other such actions I took a shuttle to Houston that was meant to arrive there in an hour or so, and then relaunched back into patrol mode.
Heading near Fort Bush, I was doing my regular cargo checks, execution of Liberty warrants and such when I found a pilot, a one Basti22 carrying illegal Rheinland weaponry onboard[15][16][17]. I fined the pilot for his transgression less than the minimum fine of a million, I fined him $600 000 for breaches of section 3, subsection 1 of Liberty Law[18]. He duly complied, and it was sent to LPI-Rikers[19].
Myself and another officer went to train at time various tactics and such to assist our policing. We then continued our patrol, finding a one Ben.Collins attempting to pirate a trader and cause lots of problems. [20][21]. After telling the pilot to leave Liberty due to the fact the pilot was in an illegal criminal organisation[22], and the fact that he did not co-operate, we commenced battle[23]. We nearly destroyed his vessel many times, as he was trying to use cover and such but after about 20 minutes of fighting I was told by Officer Hale to discontinue pursuit, so reluctantly I did. Hence, he got away from the law.
The most important event through the whole patrol was when we finished with the criminal Ben, I headed by myself to Planet Manhattan after I heard there were pirates there. Here, it turned out to be a one Rogue's Liberty[24][25] and Cole.Davies[26][27]. Firstly I questioned the pilots for their involvement in the area. Unfortunately the criminals started telling me it was their sector and of course that was stupidity. A battle of a total of 2 hours and 35 minutes ensued, with the above two suspects destroying 8 vessels, including: LPI-Vladimir.Law[O][28], LPI-Jackson.Brown[RO], LNS-Peacekeeper, and many other vessels. I constantly called for backup and had to spend my own money to get somebody to assist[29], due to the need for help. Eventually we battled for a very long time [30][31]. I constantly called for backup, but unfortunately it went on deaf ears. Where was everybody? I was extremely disappointed, handling them off and dealing pretty good but its hard in a Liberator to defeat a VHF. Then what occured is many Criminals came in the criminal's help and they lured us into an ambush[32][33][34]. Those criminals destroyed all the vessels that were there, so we retreated back to Planet Manhattan and called for backup. Unfortunately, due to the lateness of backup and the continuous request for it, when using my communications, my vessel was completely disintegrated and I only had time to move to the escape vessel. It was quite disappointing to hear that after that the backup came whilst 2 1/2 hours of nothing. I do believe that the Criminals had about 4 hours control of New York which is very bad, and why more law enforcement is on. Thus is what I hope we can achieve at LPI.
