My name is Quiron Lacroix, member of the Phoenix Zoners.
I am contacting you on behalf of our leadership because we have received quite disturbing news from Gran Canaria that your parties turned the planet and its surroundings into a battlefield. Moreover there are rumors about surface bombardments, killing the locals indiscriminately.

As our information and knowledge about this matter are limited we wouldn't like to judge in advance. However we urge you to have a cease fire agreement near the Zoner installations and Planet Gran Canaria as soon as possible. Thousands of peaceful civilians call the system as their home and this conflict risks their lives and well-being. Whatever the underlying cause of the recent attacks, the inhabitant Zoners shouldn't have been dragged into it.

While I send this transmission, a contingent of Phoenix vessels is dispatched towards Omega-49 to perform humanitarian and diplomatic mission. I can only hope you will listen to your common sense and will stop endangering those who don't have to do anything with your war.

This conflict has been escalated by the Corsairs. It is by their hands that Gran Canaria continued to suffer. the SCRA take responsibility for one orbital bombardment of an installation which we believed to be a Corsair Military Base.

The Corsairs have been overzealous in their attacks on targets they claim to be affiliated with the SCRA. They are claiming responsibility for the destruction of several bases as well as ground forces. The problem is, the SCRA has neither on Gran Canaria. They are attacking civilian targets whether knowingly or unknowingly and they claim to have used nuclear as well as bio-toxic weaponry against the populace of the planet.

Despite what the Corsairs maintain in their efforts to undermine our campaign to defend Omega-49, the SCRA remains committed to removing the Corsair Fleet from this sector of space without further endangering the civilians of the planet.

That being said, we cannot and will not withdraw from Omega-49. To allow the Corsairs to establish a stronghold in the sector is unacceptable. We will not interfere with your humanitarian efforts in the sector though be wary, the Corsairs may not extent the same courtesy to you.
