Lachina sighed once Lazarev left. She really did feel good with him. They were more than friends but they didn't attach any bounds to themselves. Drinkin', talkin' and the other thing that remained. They haven't seen each other for more than a year but it still felt good being around him and with him again.
She unwrapped her towel and started looking for her clothes again. Lachina left them before in a bathroom and after a while she was dressed again. Cold coffee mug was lying on a table. Coffee like a coffee, she thought, lying back to the bed flipping with her PDA sipping from it.
Lachina thought about Lea. She loved her, she knew that know. She loved her as a sister she never had and she knew that she wants to protect her from all the bad. One thing although always lingered in her head. What if she is the bad that can happen to her. The worst. She felt sick from how she was poisoning her with her own past. Some days she just wondered if it wouldn't be best to just run away from Lea's life. But after all Lea somehow seemed to be attached to her too. Universe has really fucked up sense of humor.
Even after she told her, that she has to take time to think about it, she always had an urge, to grab her PDA and call her if she is okay. But as much as she loved Lea her presence also woke her past with Miley. After IT happened she spent following year trying to drink it from her head and drown her rage in vodka and in blood of other people.
Truth to be told she liked her job. She was glad to that she became a Reaver and she was sure to stay one. No causes, no banners. Contract, find it, kill it, cash it. It had some natural and wild simplicity in itself. Her consciousness was clear. She killed so many people in a name of so many causes, that she somewhat felt that this isn't any worse. Probably the opposite. Mercenaries kill people but they are not the ones who order the death. They are a tools. Guns. But guns don't shoot, it's the people who hold them.
Her mind turned back to Lea. She deserved something better, She deserved a proper childhood she never had. One that Miley took her when she abandoned her with her father. When Lea told her Lachina hated her so much again. Miley was an expert on ruining other people lives in her eyes.
Lachina looked at the bottom of her empty coffee mug and smiled on her reflection. Some things she cannot fix but some she can.
Lachina grabbed her PDA again and opened a message for Lea:
Let's meet up on Boa, tomorrow. I want to see you!
Take care
Lach
The redhead sighed. She will hate her for this she guessed. At least at the beginning. But Lea needs to know there are always more places, more options and more people. More people then her fucked up sister and her no less fucked up ex.
Lea lied on her bed in her room. Amy was on patrol or something, but she didn't really care. She really just used the time to relax from the all the battles outside and inside her head.
The thing with Lachina really bothered her. She couldn't really think of anything else that the first person she might call a friend in years... hell, in her life time had these... issues with her sister. It all seemed hopeless and stuck. She wanted to find Miley. So badly. She didn't even know herself why exactly, but it was just the only thing she could think of for years. But now with Lachina...
As her PDA blinked she didn't even noticed it for almost a minute. When she finally looked at it she raised her eyebrows. It was quite suprising that Lach wanted to meet her now. She quickly replied:
Sure thing Lach.
I'll meet you there.
Lea <3
Then she threw the PDA away and sighed. She had no idea where this would lead again.
Lachina let the idea room in her mind. It was probably horrendously stupid and reckless and what not... But it was better than what was happening between her and Lea anyway.
However there were some obstacles. First, she was broke. She was slacking on her Reaverin' and even if she did score some kills lately it would take ages before those bounties would be paid to her account.
Second, the consequences of her actions could lead to some quite nasty things, but the more she thought about those the less she gave a damn.
So...
She grabbed her PDA and this time she wrote to Lazarev
Darlin'
Do you think you could get me some small transport? Something that can accommodate two people for some time and is at least a bit comfortable? Oh and something that doesn't break when you undock with it.
I promise to repay you ^^
Lach <3
Well either this is she better start preparing to rob some transport. She threw the PDA away waiting for Lazarev's reply.
The next day Lea got ready. She still had a day off so nobody would mind her leaving to Omega 50, but she left Garcia a memo anyways.
Senior Lieutenant Lea McGreave:
Comrade, I'll use the last time from my day off to meet a friend at Boa Vista.
Will be back for patrol schedule this evening.
GoH Lea.
After that was done she walked into the hangar bays. She wouldn't take the Uprising after the desaster that happend last time. Instead Lea decided to take her Nyx. She also was in civil clothing as she enjoyed not wearing her uniform each and every day.
Her throughts drifted away as she started the engines of her ship. She finally managed to relax suddenly, just like the calm before a storm.
As her ship started into open space she didn't worry about anything. Not Lachina, nor Miley, nor Garcia.
Lach was standing in a hangar 18C. Infront her was sitting an rather obsolete but spaceworthy Anki. She was watching the the cargo she bought on her trip to Boa being loaded plus with things she and Lea could use. Cargo could use help them stay under radar masking them as a usual tradeship, considering both Lea and her were wanted personnel in most of the Sirius. Lazarev got her a good ship. She will have to repay him soon. When everything was done and prepared, her ship fueled, Lachina headed to the cabin. She started the ship computer and began filling the papers and IDs. She filled the ship name:
The Cage
She grabbed her PDA and wrote a quick message.
I am heading up to you now,
See you soon!
Lach <3
After that she turned on the engines and flew outside her journey.
Lea waited in the room Lach had prepared for them. She still didn't know what to expect. Maybe just another evening together? But she was sure that they needed to talk soon. The worries and the fights had gotten just too much in the last time.
That's why Lea didn't feel so comfortable waiting for her friend here.
She looked at her PDA. Lach was on the way up here. Lea didn't take the time to respond. She would see her in a few anyways. Waiting for something to happen she stood a little lost in the middle of the almost empty room.
Lachina slowly parked her Anki, The Cage was no fully loaded with supplies such as food rations, spare engine parts, clothes and others. Lach never flew a transport before so she took extra care when parking it. She smiled when she sat it perfectly at the landing target and then turned of the H-fuel engines and opened the cargo bay doors. She walked outside wearing a casual dress.
She headed right off to a room in which she was gonna meet Lea. When she arrived there she knocked on the door and then entered inside. Apart of not wearing her usual leather jacket there was one more change...
Lea raised her eyebrows as Lach walked in. "Wow." She simply said. "You look good." She still stood in the room kind of lost. She was afraid of the silence that would kick in and make the greeting akward. "So..." She asked after a short moment, "Why did you want to meet me?".
"Thanks." she sat down on a couch in the room taking bottle out of a bag she had with herself. It was pure but with a slight green tint. Lachina grinned.
"Brought you a present from Vaterland!" she didn't wait for Lea and walked for a pair of glasses, placing them on the kitchen desk and pouring the alcohol in them with her back towards Lea, asking: "How were you?"
When she was done, she brought the liquor back to her.
Lach ignored he question, but Lea was okay with it. The alcohol... she didn't know if she was okay with that. But the talking would be easier with one or two glasses of whatever that was. "I ehm... was fine. Had a lot of work to do." She looked at her still confused about her new hair. "What did you do?" she asked also giving the liquor a curious look.
