We should also decide on whether to use Umlaute or not. But yeah, anyway, I'm always for using the German names, seems weird to me to call it "Munich". I don't say "Neu York" either.
Anyway, also noticed how not a single vanilla system was named after a place in Rheinland...?
To me, calling Köln "Cologne" just feels wrong. It's Rheinland. Kyushu is also called Kyushu and not "Nine Provinces" or such...
only problem with being consistent is that we're not consistent to begin with. (as in, English picks and chooses). but yeah, koeln is a bit weird, especially when cologne is so well known too
People arnt consistent in real life, I dont think its unrealistic theyd be inconsistent ingame too. Make the "Koeln renamification group" inrp if you want ;P

My theory is that it's because they were made by different people at very different times.
And I could be very mistaken, but I was under the impression that new names with letters with any markings couldn't be added for some weird technical reason? And that's why only vanilla ones are spelled as such.
