Who seeks shall find.
Yes, I do always find roleplay if I search for it. It's just that the search got harder with the time - for obvious reasons. What I've noticed lately, that most people are the opinion that roleplay which ends with a pew - is not considered roleplay, but PvP. However, I've never seen anyone who continued the roleplay after the pew - be it in the forums or ingame PMs.
Brings me to the idea of having your ship turn into a escape pod, once it exploded. With which you can either be destroyed (again) - captured or escape with it.
If you want pods and PVP, go and play EVE. Oh wait...Discovery IS a poor man's EVE...
+1
We could use some more biomass for the grinder.
And the roleplay, while not exactly talking it up, is far better defined by, yanno, freedom of choice and action.
Yes. Roleplay isn't the act of writing and prostrating. It's playing a role. We need to use a different word like...in-character. But yes, as stated in my last post you need to make the RP. And as Blodo said, most RP ends in shooting.
1. Meet other person
2. Spew rhetoric
3. Disagree no matter what
4. ENGAGABUG!
Doesn't help that in the cesspool that is Discovery, this attitude is encouraged socially, but the rules are still very obstructive to just shooting people (not that it's something I'm immensely fond of, myself). The nature of RP isn't an excuse to be a twat to everyone a-la Kaze, for instance.

I can safely say that much of my rp has lead to me being on the server for far longer than I originally planned - fly any ship near a Navy or police ID'd player and rp as being drunk to some degree. Its not yet failed me.
