Interestingly that really doesn't seem to be the case.
There are currently 65 replies, out of which maybe 60 are applications, as far as I can tell. which makes for quite an interesting number of less than 0.5% of total registered members (approximately 13.4 k)... Out of which maybe 10 % are active. That makes an astonishing 5 % of active members. Well.

Well i hope your post is meant as a joke. Otherwise the joke's on you.
It's not a joke - it's maths at it's finest. With more than a half of it being wild assuptions based on the member list.
Also - one in twenty is not that much, really. While I'm not really sure how many people are reqired to keep a forum of this size in check (the biggest one I had the honor to work at had about 1.2k registered members, which is not much), I believe that at least ten or so people are needed (on the aforementioned forum we had six people dealing with all the stuff.). Based on what is said in the introduction post of the admin nomination thread, I believe they need maybe six new people. That would make it one in ten of the applicants. Which allows quite a nice variety of people.
Then again - it's all just wild assumtions and too many "what ifs" and "maybes" to tell if any of it is accurate.
I'm just into this kind of stuff and it's fun for me to make such assumptions. Consider it however you want - laugh at it, take it into consideration, maybe correct it if I'm wrong somewhere. That's basically the point of the fun.
